We already have the list of your favorite tracks in the game, now, time for the most hated ones! Please provide reasons too!

1) Nurburgring Nordschleife - Narrow, almost impossible to overtake cleanly, messes up with your suspension, bumpy as if someone threw pebbles on the road, and there is just no sense of momentum. I know, a lot of people here adore this track but I just can't tame it.

2) Tsukuba - Don't get me wrong, this is a fun track when doing solo laps or racing against friends but against the "rabbit" geez.. For some reason, I can find more "momentum" at Autumn Ring Mini than here.

3) Suzuka - I love this track! Well, as long as I am on a road car at around 500PP. I once raced my 650PP Zonda R at Laguna Seca and won that race fairly easily. My confidence was high so I jumped on this one and man, it's pure hell.

Those are just my opinions. Yes, I also have a slight bias towards the original tracks as I grew up with a PS1 and totally skipped PS2. As for my favorite tracks? Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, and Laguna Seca. Monza is a close 4th. 👍

Trial mountain and deep forest are my most hated. Suzuka and nurb being my favs

1) Cape Ring- I've never found a rhythm here.

2) Spa- I never really liked it.

3) Nurburgring- Can't deal with the size of this track. It's still nice though.

Monza was a close 4th place.

Just curious, why do you hate those tracks?

As for why I love them? I just like how fast the corners are on these tracks. They keep me on my toes, sure, but compared to the notoriety of the sudden corners/wipeouts at Nurb, they're actually enjoyable. The ones at Nurb, you just don't see coming. I guess I just have to practice Nurb again and again with a 400pp till I get a feel for it.

For the record, I drove an Infiniti Coupe Concept 06 on it a few hours ago and managed a pathetic 8:34.266 :( Any advice to deal with the blind corners and the unevenness/instability I will surely appreciate.

As for Cape Ring, I actually like that track too. Also, no, I don't have any issues with the loop.

Don't like Cape Ring's full course or perimeter. The loop and jump are plain silly.
Sometimes Motegi gets on my nerves.

None I truly hate. Some of the PD custom tracks are painful, while some are fun.

Isn't there a thread already like this? I have deja vu...

I can't hate any tracks, there are a few that I don't favour, but its interesting that some people don't like Nurburgring, Spa, or Monaco... those are proper technical tracks and I love them.

The tracks I spend least time on, simply because I find them less interesting, challenging or exciting, are:

Autodromo Nazionale Monza
Special Stage Route 7
Top Gear Test Track

1) Tsukuba (not sure why, just really enclosed and repetitive imo)
2) Special Stage Route 7 (two massive not-so-straight straights and a few corners, boring imo)
3) Top Gear Test Track (The amount of cones is too 🤬 high!)

I did a search and can't find a list of the most hated. Maybe worsts? But that's another subject.

London is a waste of time.
The 3 you hate are all legendary tracks.lol.

I blame my lack of skill I guess? lol. Same thing, when GT2 came out, I was bummed by that corkscew at Laguna but now, I absolutely love it!

Maybe a few months from now, my choices will change.

As for the Top Gear Track, add the Sambas and it just gets worse. lol

I don't "hate" any of them. Some are tricky like the Nurburgring & Road Course Motegi, but they're all great tracks. Once you do enough laps around any of them, you get used to their subtleties. The Nurb & Spa are my favorites & I wish we had more world class tracks, like Silverstone to race on. I'm looking forward to GT6 to see which tracks we'll get. 👍

Can't say that I "hate" any tracks in GT5, but my three least favorite (from a drift perspective) are:

London - little to no rythem, no elevation change. IMO the VDC section is so-so at best.

Rome - again, very little rythem. I also don't like the lower traction on the cobblestone sections.

Monza - IMO, the definition of boring, for both drifting and racing. In anything other than an F1 car, I find Monza to be a complete waste of time. I completely understand the significance of Monza in the racing world, but for me, the hype of Monza has more to do with it's history, and nothing to do with the current track layout. Any other current F1 track would have been better than Monza....and any other Italian track would have been better than Monza.

I don't have 3 least liked tracks, but here's two.

1. Cape Ring - It just feels dull with many turns. It's unexplainable since I like the Nordschliefe and that has over 100 turns.

2. SSR7 - It just doesn't appeal to me since I don't cruise there, and I don't drag race in the tunnels. Unexplainable again since I like SSRX.

Tsukuba Circuit - It's good for short races and drifting, but otherwise it's as boring as hell. No wonder I haven't bothered with the 9 hour endurance race. Easily my most hated track.

Nurburgring (excluding Nordschleife) - Never got the hang of it. The first corner is what kills me the most, I go off the track about 90% of the time on this corner alone. Fun when driving go-karts, otherwise I can't stand it.

SSR7 - What's the point of this track? If PD wanted to have a 'Speed Test' track, they should have either put in the original Test Course or made SSRX before GT5's release.

3 - Circuit de la Sarthe - Way to overused and it gets boring after a while.

2 - Tsukuba Circuit - This circuit is unbelievably boring. Not any better whey you have to do an endurance on it for 9 hours.

1 - Deep Forest Raceway - Way too tight. Also, some of the turns make no sense at all. It's also boring (at least not as much as Tsukuba).

No hated tracks here, enjoy racing on them all :)

Don't really see the point of the Speed Test track in anything other than the X2010/11

1) Cape Ring- I've never found a rhythm here.

2) Spa- I never really liked it.

3) Nurburgring- Can't deal with the size of this track. It's still nice though.

Monza was a close 4th place.

The only track I truly hate is Spa. After doing the 'ring a few hundred times, I've grown to love its complexity and challenge. :)

Hm... well I don't "hate" any track, but I really dislike the Grand Valley tracks.

1) Cape Ring

2) Cape Ring Periphery

3) Cape Ring North

You can guess the 4th and 5th place :)

The reasons:
1) It's a waste of space for actually worth features and tracks

2) That stupid loop

3)I hate the bright colors all over the track (background, sponsors, NPC's, the barriers, the sky and vegetation)

Grand Valley, both configurations. I can drive decently on grand valley, but driving fast or pushing it is usually a mistake for me as I think this track is very unforgiving. One slight mistake and I'll be off my average time by at least two seconds.

Suzuka, for the exact same reason as Grand Valley.

Indy Road Course. I don't know what it is about Indy's road course, but even with moderately to low powered cars I find traction and corner speeds to be a constant challenge - very difficult to maintain consistent track times. I'll lay down one blistering time and won't be able to come even close again, with lap times all over the place.

High Speed Ring - boring as all hell and I've been racing it since 1998.

Tsukuba - even more boring than HSR

Indianapolis/Daytona road course - I generally hate all infield tracks. Flat and dreadfully boring.

Sarthe is a close 4th. I love the history of Le Mans but the track is very boring in game. Go really really really fast...slam on the brakes...go really really really fast...brakes...repeat.

I don't like a good handfull of tracks. But my bottom 3 are...

3.Deep Forest
2.SSR7
1.Cape Ring

Well I guess my three haven't been mentioned yet.

1. Any Eiffel track - you think Tsukuba is boring these tracks are so dull there is nothing to look at, nothing to really connect with - each time is a chore, even though some of them are just repeats in the Seasonals. (If this doesn't count then I must put Kart Space here instead. Too flashy and too small and tight, I just don't like it at all - I feel really claustrophobic.)

2. Eiger Nordwand - any variation, not too into rally, but the tarmac one is incredibly annoying (Grand Tour comes to mind), I just don't understand it.

3. Top Gear Test Track - not a test track, by any means, the cones are just pointless and get in the way, plus the figure of eight died when Scalectrix did (or however you spell it).

Close 4th is Fuji, same thing, I don't understand it at all, even after driving on it in a few different cars and a few different events/TT's.

Also Daytona Road Course - never have liked any version of Daytona really, I favour Indy any day of the week. Just can't explain it, there's something just incredibly frustrating about the corners.

Other tracks that have been mentioned I don't hate, just don't really have much experience with - I don't know Spa very well, but if I did I would probably come to like it, I don't like La Sarthe too much even after doing 24 hrs in it, it still baffles me sometimes.

Finally some good news. The recent lack of hate on the internet has been alarming, almost as bad as the lack of sarcasm, so it's good to see threads like this to restore the balance 👍

Like the least...

Indy F1 -
Makes the Tilke F1 tracks seem advanced and imaginative. The very wide very plain aspect to the track and the all or nothing nature. There are a few good points (Turn1 to Hulman is a highlight, but that is mostly due to the rest of the track being so comprmised.

Cape Ring - (South is okay)
The Jump is just terrible and the Loop is a long bad corner. To be fair most of the rest is pretty good, but those two parts just 'fail'

Daytona/Motegi Oval/Indy Motor Speedway
Not so much a hate for the track but the style of racing that goes on here the actual driver vs track element is gone, AT least Indy has some skill in the individual corners.

(I don't have SSRX - which I ran once in a GTAcademy - and that was by far the worst track.)

1.) Fuji Speedway: It looks and feels very sterile and uneventful.

2.) Circuit de la Sarthe: I don't dislike the circuit, but I dislike how cars behave on it in GT5. To me, top speed in an X2010 feels like I'm going 60mph. Another snoozer. I much prefer using it in Forza 4 because I feel the game conveys a better sense of speed.

3.) Special Stage Route 7: Like Circuit de la Sarthe but longer. Oh, joy.

Tokyo R246: I never liked it and it was overused in the run-up to GT5's release.

Indy Road course: There is a reason F1 doesn't race there anymore.

Tsukuba: Well, its OK for low-power cars and karts, but thats about it. (It was more fun in Tourist Trophy.)

Look at my siggy for the relevant quote.
