Touge 3

Another drifting game for the ps2 from japan.
Has anyone played this, any reviews on this? Links to reviews would be helpfull if you have any.

sorry to drag up such an old post...
but i cannot find the info i need and am hoping someone can help?

in response to breakerohio's queries:
i recently got this game (in my attempt to source all drifting games for ps2 :))
at first it seems fairly basic and arcade-like,
but after playing a bit the depth and drift-dynamics become apparent:
although simple, this is quite an enjoyable and challenging game
here is a basic article: ps2.ign.com/articles/136/136765p1.html

my question:
is it possible to get access to the 2 blocked-off sections of the mini-course?
most noteably "drift land" (!)
(oh how it teases being able to be seen but blocked behind the barriers)

it would seem strange that altus would bother modelling (and featuring on the maps) these sections if they are not unlockable...
i have completed all the races in both "king battle" and "quick race" but to no avail :(

also, does anyone understand how winning the upgrade parts works exactly?
seems almost random and limited to certain car models?

any help muchly appreciated!

i played this long long ago, i really forgot how it was.
but i dont think you can access other area, but i remember the earlier version of touge (PS1) there're some hidden shortcut.
but this game is actually my fav before GT comes out

by the way, anyone drove Honda cars from touge 3, notice the change of vtec sound, so cool, so real, none of the games out there have that effect
just like driving the real car, haha as i am a pround owner of a Honda EK4

bringing this back from the dead...

I just bought this and have been playing it, and gtiroz is right about finding information about this game...it's freakin' impossible.

I don't know about access to the 2 blocked off sections (but I would love it if I could access them to test setting changes!)

my question is: I beat the "quick race" and am working on the "king battle" with an s14...which has now been fully upgraded with parts. but I want to get some parts on some of the other cars too. how do I go about getting some parts on my other cars??

damn me for not knowing Japaneese =(

I haven't played it like 2 years
I found Kaido battle 2 more enjoyable
anyway ... to answer suke's question
there are couple specific locations and specific races for unlock upgrade parts
after you get in a new car, then try to race all location until you unlock all parts
everytime you unlock a part, write down the location and the race
then next time you can go straight to race these locations to unlock parts for your another car
hope this help .... :P
sorry I cannot remember all these locations
you have to find out your own

thanks for the info franz...I thought I had to just play till I get the parts, but after a few races of winning nothing, I decided to ask.

also...I just bought Kaido Battle 2 as well...I'm saving myself up for it. One drifting game at a time. Since there are not too many, I try to spread playing them out...so hopefully, when I get done with Kaido 2, another good drifting game will be out.

thanks again for the quick responce!

I saw this game at my local Kmart for $25. It was the Pal version and it was called Road Rage 3. I think I'll go buy it tomorrow. I hope its still there because I put it under the Inspector Gadget game...hoohaha..no one will ever find it!

Road Rage 3? Is it on Japanese? or is there any US Version?

neither.... there is PAL version, I found no US version on amazon/dvdboxoffice ... in Europe they released the game in a silent way, no test version for the magazines...
It is a nice game for 20 $ or so, but no hit game...
