I always thought it looked weird how the driver looked in the Toyota 7. GT5's nod to "Mod Nation Racers"?

or that people in The Netherlands are tall.

How dare you! :D We simply have to be tall with most of our country being below sea level although we ofcourse aren't really that tall, the rest of the world are simply behind on the evolutionary ladder. ;)

That Toyota 7 is probably being driven by Gijs van Lennep....

Hell, it's has nothing to do do with the sea level... Antibiotics in dairy and meat, soap and other stuff...That's the real cause.

Daihatsu and Yamaha are members of the same industrial group as Toyota. They were bought ages ago from this automotive giant. And yes the engine was developed by Yamaha. Remember in the mid '90s in Formula 1 the Tyrell-Yamaha team..? Interesting, isn't it?

And if you open the bonnet in a Celica or Corolla T-Sport (2ZZ-GE engine) and look at the side of the cylinder head you will see the Yamaha logo and name;)...

P.S. You say tremendous amount of HP/ltr... And bare in mind that it was in 1970!!!!! Stunning...

P.S.2 The ND logo is NipponDenso now called Denso... Emmmm... Denso Sard Supra... Makers of ECUs and ignition components...

Interesting indeed. Yamaha certainly has a knack for absurdely little engines that pack a terrific punch. Remember their 90's supercar concept, the Yamaha OX99-11? 3.5L V12 Engine that churned out 400 BHP at 10000 RPM. They certainly know how to deliver awesome BHP/Liter ratios.

So, it looks like that Yamaha's got you covered in anything ranging from Bikes, to High-performance engines, and Pianos :)

Someone should find out the height of the in-game racer. Compare the opening menu vid when he's next to a car and figure it out from there, I don't know.
I'm 20 and 5'07" Hispanic's are not the tallest bunch.
17 and 5'08". Us Cubans are a bit taller than the rest of the Hispanic world (we have White and African blood mostly compared to mostly Native blood in the continent). I got a cousin in the Marines whose 6'3" (Dad's taller side), and a cousin working in a Univeristy whose 5'3" (Mom's shorter side) :D, so I'm average, and I'm content, thank you.

Somebody change thread name to "How tall are you?" now please! :D

I'll might make one! :D
Edit: Done!

Haha, this made me laugh! My Dad still says "NipponDenso" to mean any kind of Japanese electrickery on engines. Let's not forget Yamaha also makes some fairly awesome motorbikes, too, where they pioneered their 5-valve cylinder-head technology, which also found its way into Toyotas (4A-GE). 👍

As for HP / litre; force-feeding is considered cheating :p

^

Keep that 🤬 on Rumble Strip.
