Not to mention Toyota has pretty much nothing left to prove in the passenger car market anyway. They're still selling Camrys and Corollas as fast as they can build them and that's not likely to change anytime soon, so it's entirely the right time to invest in expanding to new ventures.Why keep making something the world seems to want dead when you can jump into an underserved market and do something. Toyota is just one of the first to make the move, Honda won't be far behind.
