A precursor to a planned TPC Grand Touring Championship based on 1990s GT race cars, this will be a one-off endurance event emulating the Suzuka 1000km. This will be a race aimed at higher-tier players as the car setups and strategies will be open and the weather is unpredictable.

On October 15th, 2022:
Lobby opens for free practice at 16:30 EST.

To help those who need setup or practice with these difficult cars, a test session will be open on September 17th and September 24th at approximately the same time of day. This will be an open practice session with potentially short sprint races.

Please note that if any car is found to be struggling or far ahead of the rest that the Balance of Performance can be adjusted prior to the race itself.

I am curious to see how stable an international lobby can be. I will prepare for this and will test when possible. A Saturday race fits my schedule.

Hi all, I would love to sign up for this race but my pace might be too slow, I'm working on a race setup but my knowledge tuning cars is very limited so it's a lengthy process :)

I would like to join the Test sessions if possible to see how far I am in terms of pace?

This is part of the reason why the event is more than a month away, to allow people time to first choose a car they'd like, then also develop it further, aided by several group tests.

A change of plans for me likely means a test session will be held today as well.

I've thrown together a livery for my entry as well.

I like it 👍, will need to do some testing at some point but I should be free come race day. Will say so if otherwise.

A lobby is open once again for testing, it will be up for a few hours, feel free to test whatever you like. If you are interested but not yet signed up, please try all the available cars.

Lobby is friends only so you must add me to your friends list.

Calling all associates. Come race here and try to last 90 minutes at full speed. Endurance racing is the real test of skill and network connection (lol). make a cool, or retro livery and have a go.

Not a 'Callaway' Corvette but very nice all the same.

Final testing session open for the event. I will be on vacation for the next two weekends so I will be unable to host a lobby, but you can do your own testing.

Saturdays event is close at hand and I hope all works as planned. This is what I have to work with and hope it is good enough:
Rig.jpg

I think this DIY Rig works pretty good. A bit of a Frankenstein but mostly made from second hand parts. My creation from ideas found online. Share what you got? See ya soon.

Thank you to all who participated, I have been working this event out in my mind since GT7 came out so it's jice to finally get some proof of it working. Obviously I wish we had more people to make it a better race for everyone, but this is definitely the foundation for what will become a championship series of races, shorter in length but with much the same package and cars.

Any feedback anyone may have will be greatly welcomed. I would be especially curious to hear if you felt the cars were adequetly balanced and that the challenge was enough for you to handle.
