I would like to see an Autumn Ring North track which uses the normal Autumn Ring, but cuts off the bottom of Autumn Ring Mini.

Oh, and don't turn this into a track wishlist, please. I've had enough of threads that turn into, "...premium Veyron and Spa-Francorchamps...".

Nordschleife reverse and some of the tracks featured within circuits like the Suzuka kart track. Also a Cape Ring periphery without the jump and long elevated 360 degree turn thingy, maybe replaced with an incline? That would be a more feasible track IRL without the death traps. 👍

Awww, I like the loop:irked: But I absolutely hate the jump:ouch:

If they want to remove the loop, add a reverse-corkscrew and I'll be happy:)

Where is the Suzuka West Circuit? The already have the track model, shouldn't be too difficult to create a new path and penalty areas for it:tdown:

I would love to see a version of Rome combining the old circuit with the new one:drool:

It's 5.05km in length btw:)

Only variations of existing tracks in GT5?

Autodromo Nazionale Monza

- Unchicaned ('50s version)
- Oval ('50s version)
- Full 10 Km track ('50s version)
- Circuito Junior (smaller section cutting the main straight in half)

Circuit de la Sarthe
- Unchicaned ('60s version)

Cote D'Azur
- Unchicaned ('60s version)

Fuji Speedway
- Old Layout (90's)
- Old Layout, unchicaned ('80s)
- Old Layout + Banked section ('60s) with reverse version possible (the first races were ran in counterclockwise direction)

London
- The long version which was supposed to appear in GT5

Rome Circuit
- The Circus Maximus as a short dirt oval track. Ah-ha!
- GT2 version Long
- GT2 version Short
- GT2+GT5 version, approximately as zedextreme8177's version in the picture above:

Suzuka Circuit
- Suzuka West
- Suzuka Unchicaned ('60s)

Tokyo R246
- Short version

(it could be possible to make the main straight shorter though)

The old Indianapolis road course concept from 1909. Never built, uses 99% of the oval and 2.5 miles of road course.

I am loving the look of that extended Rome circuit and the shortened Tokyo one - they would be sweet variations indeed :)

Grand valley east with the hairpin loop
Grand valey east with the tunnels loop

Do you mean these? Interesting:

Although personally I'd probably want to see completely new and extended sections of this track rather than just reusing existing bits... after 13 years I think it could use some changes.

I also remember that someone posted a track which combined SSR5 and SSR11 into one long track. Now THAT would be awesome:tup:

Yes, but that is not possible given the track orientation and road signs that can be seen there.
A variation combining in some way SSR5 and SSR7 appears to be possible though, since before the main straight of SSR5 the road continues and appears to be directed to the "bayside route" (that remembers the Tokyo Bayshore Route from which SSR7 takes inspiration), and in the tunnel, the road splits to SSR7, apparently (it's blocked in the game however).

On Grand Valley Speedway again, I'd like to see extensive modifications to that location so that one of its variations would be a real "Speedway", while of course still maintaining the original road course and its character. GT5 could use more non-conventional, original ovals / true high speed courses.

Found this in another thread:

It would need remodelling of the track around the hairpin, but both of the tracks can be run in their correct directions.

Grand Valley speedway would be amazing, possibly a combined version added, with the current circuit acting as a road course.

I would also love to see a Cape Ring Full variant which uses the other pitlane, and places the hairpin connecting the inner and outer tracks on the other side.

My vote for this too. The jump and carousel completely ruin Cape Ring. Without those two it would be a half way decent track.

I must be the only one who loves the jump and "loop" on Cape Ring.

IMHO, those two features help make it the perfect test course.

I'd love to see a longer Eiger road course. I love the background scenery of the track and would love to spend more time on it.

yes those id been hoping to see them use these tracks since GT2

It would be nice to have the 24h daytona road course. It has a shorter bus stop chicane. The longer version that is in GT5 looks like it has completely disappeared with the new track renovations.

A Daytona road course without the floodlights in the oval part, like in the 60's

Personally i don't see why they DON'T add every variation of each track they photograph in the game (like Buggatti Circuit at LeMans). And the four different variations of GV Speedway is an awesome idea - why don't they do it?

They cay that now tracks take months/years to make, so surely more variations of the tracks they have already modeled wouldn't be too many more months work?

And to add insult to injury, it seems they had no problem including the noticeably graphically inferior (and with no weather/time changes) 2005 version of La Sarthe, different in layout only for ONE chicane than the 2009 version. It's also never used in the game, understandably (since the 2009 version is so much better).

I suspect they added that only to be able to state that there are "70+ tracks" in the game. With those two meaningless variations there are "71" of them (including reverse versions of original tracks which is kind of cheating on the track/variation number).

Hey, how about the not-much-loved Bugatti Circuit at Sarthe!? Not to mention those much missed and more fun Fuji '80s & '90s!? :indiff:

OMG this would be awesome! I really miss the Rome full course from previous GT games... the "Rome" in GT5 just leaves me wanting more, because there used to be more LOL! :sly:

Variations...

I'd lov to see a texture update on familia tracks.

Autumn Ring in Late Winter/Early Spring - No leaves on the trees, perhaps a few patches of snow that hasn't melted away. The Sun low on the horizon or dull behind some grey clouds.

Grand Valley 1960's - - No Coathanger Bridge but only the East circuit - and a much narrower club circuit feel to it. No Armco just some hedges perhaps a few wooden fences. A few period advertising hoardings as well, Maybe some Twist music drifting out from the pit garages.

Long versions of the London and Eiger tracks. For the latter, I was picturing something similar to the Eiger Dirt tracks but on tarmac.

I know it's not considered a "variation", except by PD's standards. But I'd love to see a night/day and weather change for laguna seca. It would be great to have it properly textured and fully modeled, as well as designed for 24 hour racing. There are a few others it would be nice to see this treatment in to.
Would be interesting to see an extended version of London also with day/night effects. Would be cool to have a city track with this feature and would make for some interesting endurance racing.

Tsukuba wet- it was in GT4.

Agree :) And the "2 seconds" longer version, with the right-left hander between the first and second timesection. While the 9 hours endurance I took that corner every lap :) Not easy to win with same PP and car as the ic.

They should do this to all tracks
