Why do people trade cars? i really cannot see the point, surely it is better to earn them yourselves. Also why do people want to complete the game so quickly?

Waiting for the used lot to produce a car you really want can be tiring, so if you purchase a car that someone else might want, why not trade it for something you want? Also, you could buy a truck for the truck even, and get rid of it after the race if you don't plan on using it again.

It's not to complete the game any sooner, it's to get the cars you want. They are earning the cars themselves, by way of purchasing the cars through other gamers rather than the dealers.

I fail to see how this is a problem. Several games, even other racers, have systems like this, often even more robust.

Guy A buys a car he doesn't like. Guy B does so as well.
Guy A and B now have two options:
1) Selling the cars back to the game for a poor amount of credits.
2) Trading their cars to get something they might enjoy.

Furthermore, with the price cars being the way they are, i think it makes perfect sense to trade them with other players so one does not end up buying cars one doesn't like for a single, specific race and can buy something enjoyable instead.

And people don't want to finish the game, they probably just want to drive/race the cars they want. To do so, however, you have to progress pretty far into the game.
If you want to drive the X1, for example, you pretty much have to almost finish the game.

I dont see it as a problem, just wonder why people do it

The same reason people trade anything. To obtain something they would rather have compared to the item they are trading away.

For one, some cars rarely show up in the Used Car Lot. Of course, rarely doesn't mean NEVER, so you *could* do it yourself, it just might take a while.

On the other hand, let's say I wanted a factory-color British Racing Green '98 Mini Cooper 1.3. The ONLY color available to me in the used car lot is Hawaiian Blue. By all accounts so far, only ONE color will EVER show up in one person's lot per car. So, I can watch the used car lot until 2078 when GT6 comes out, and I will STILL never get the car I want. However, if I post up on here that I'm looking for a British Racing Green Mini, I can trade something someone ELSE wants for the car I could never have otherwise gotten.
