transition from gt5 to gt6 drifting

hi guys.
im finding it impossible to drift in gt6. the car is all over the place. no smooth exit out of a drift - jus slam into a wall. car looses balance and goes into which ever diretion it feels like heading in.

im a pretty decent gt5 drifter with a few top 250 places in gt5 drift trials. most of my milege done in gt5 was sideways smoking tarmac.

any help would be highly appreciated.
 
There are several threads loaded with information regarding drifting techniques, tunes and setting up cars for gt6. I suggest a good read through them. Aside from that, all anyone can say is practice untill your eyes fall out.
 
The scoring system in no way reflects drift skills. People should never judge their own drifting ability by the amount of points they have.

Don't think of it as a transition from one onto the other. Learn to drive, completely from scratch. Try to get rid of bad habits etc...

Thanks for all the advice guys. Much appreciated. I'm going straight to the Drift Haus Tuning Garage to grab some of @DolHaus Tunes and give it a go.
I'm going to forget how easy it was to drift in 5 and start from scratch in 6.
 
You don't mention pad or wheel?

Whilst I can recommend @DolHaus' tunes for ds3, I must plug my thread if your using a wheel so here you go :gtpflag:

I find it very easy to drift with the VW Beetle, much more fun when I compare the VW with a high powered American musclecar or a Japanese tuningcar.
Tonight I want to try the Samba bus or something silly with rwd, just loving the 'hard work' :D
 
@FussyFez. I use a ds3 as its much easier. I have a wheel but never got down to learning with a wheel as its much more complex. Thanks for your tunes for the wheel. I will give it a shot bro.
