so, how do i add to my crop? oh, now one of my hexagons has a 1 on it. what does that mean? sorry to be such a n00b.

Crop is the yellow hexagons, you click on it, then chose to upgrade it. The number indicated the level of that particular tile. I try to bring everything up fairly evenly.
 
vtec_guy, you have newbie protection until July 08, 2005 at 05:39. No one can attack you until then. Work on upgrading only your wood, clay, iron and crop for the first few days. Sometime before the noob protection is over, put a cranny in. This will protect some of your resources if you are raided. We'll fill you in more as you progress. Be warned: The first week is painfully slow. Work through it and I promise it gets better.
 
ok, when i click on most of my hexagons it says builders already at work or something. does this mean its being upgraded or something? even though i didnt click the upgrade thing.

As a Roman you can build one builidng and upgrade 1 resources at a time, you must wait for contruction to finish on that item before you can build more.

Teutons and Gauls can only build 1 thing (resource OR building) at a time.
 
Correct. There should be a time for completion on the screen. After that upgrade is done, start another one. Like db said, do a wood, then clay, etc. Just try to keep everything fairly ballanced.

Wood: 54 per hour
Clay: 60 per hour
Iron: 60 per hour
Crop: 26 per hour
 
oh yea lol. sorry botu that guys. i think im getting the hang of it now. So i just level up my crops, iron wood and clay until some time and after then i build a cranny.

EDIT: heres my thingy so far
Wood: 11 per hour
Clay: 11 per hour
Iron: 8 per hour
Crop: 9 per hour

im levelling up my iron now and then my crop

I have a lvl 3 main, lvl 1 embassy, lvl 10 cranny in 2 hours, lvl 1 market, lvl 1 barracks.

Abundance of iron right now. That lv 10 cranny tok like 400+ iron but I was maxed at 800 already so I might need to upgrade my warehouse.

Woot. Production:
Wood: 40 per hour
Clay: 42 per hour
Iron: 42 per hour
Crop: 21 per hour

Welcome, aboard to both of you. The game starts out slowly, but it picks up once you get your production up and can begin raiding.

You might want to fix your sig though.

boombexus is the head of the alliance. He has to have room in his Embassy to invite others and you must have a level one embassy. You won't have to worry about that for a while, though.

EDIT: I HAVE NO RESOURCES!!! WHAT DO I DOOOOOOOOOOOOO????? do i just wait for my crops and stuff to build up before i can startworking again?
 
Like I said, the first week is slow. There is a lot of waiting for resources to build up so you can do something. And yes, when you are low on resources, you're only option at this point in the game is to wait.

Later, the fun starts when you can raid. :sly:
 
I need a sitter for the next 30 hours at the most. Please try to get to me in 4h30min, since I will be gone by then.
