Ouch big hits on GTP today, I recommend upgrading crannies and spending your resources unless you're saving up for something in particular, otherwise you're a sitting duck, especially if you're not monitoring the game.

That's a warehouse. Pretty useless at this point but I didnt know it at the start of the game.

Yeah, I made the exact same mistake. Every time I look at that stupid warehouse, all I want to do is burn it down and have it give me back my resources. :grumpy:
 
I got attacked again yesterday, lost tons of resources again, and it was a different player, more info in the forums. Really ****ing convenient, since that was the first day I was not going to be at the computer for most of the day, because I had 2 exams, and I was at a large party we were having for neighbours who are moving (after living next door to me for as long as I can remember, literally).

I'm also sending out a request for resources; Iron especially. Diplomacy won't work against my attackers, so I need to raise an army.
 
Of course diplomacy doesn't work! :)

I got attacked by the same dude again, check the forum.
 
The problem that I have is that I do not have enough time to react to the attacking force. I don't have enough resources to upgrade the Cranny, nor have enough for anything else. So, my resources sit in a gray area that is too much for the Cranny to handle, but not enough to get rid of quickly and use for upgrades.

I guess we could send our resources to another person before the attack and they can send them back afterwards.
 
what do you mean? you need relatively small amount of res to upgrade cranny. so how cna you sit on res above cranny capacity and not spend it on upgrade? i dont get it.
oh, maybe 'cos im gaul i dont have that problem. i just remembered i've double cranny.
so i have 260 capacity at lvl2 only.

why do you keep so many res? you should have cranny levelled up enough to protect them, or spend them staright away.

THis was the first time I actually had a lot of resources on hand, since I was away for the day (I normally spend very quickly), and my production is very good (32 wood and clay, 30 iron, ~15 food). I was working on building up my production so I could keep a constant stream of troops coming out of my barracks, but it looks as if that's going to have to wait. I really need good defence right now.

And I do have a level 2 cranny, but seeing how my attackers are teutons, upgrading that would be futile.

Yep, I'm at level 2 cranny, and it only holds 130 (I swear if I have to restart, I'm definitley not playing as romans).
 
I think I've done it right, can anyone see my bidding at the marketplace? Can anyone accept?
 
Unless you're Gaul, upgrading crannies is a waste. Just try to produce troops, or increase production so you can produce troops faster.
