And... I'M GETTING ATTACKED IN 43 MINUTES, AND MY DAMN MERCHANT IS OUT GETTING IRON!!!!

I swear to god I'm going to kill witti one of these days...

I think I've done it right, can anyone see my bidding at the marketplace? Can anyone accept?
It's ok, someone else accepted. 👍

Yep, I'm at level 2 cranny, and it only holds 130 (I swear if I have to restart, I'm definitley not playing as romans).

im cool with gauls, but seeing 26 units strong teuton army i wish i was a teuton. their units are from tesco or something. half the price of mine.

ev0: i suppose you will not lose anything this time. if you have army and his is much stronger, send your army to someone, you can always control it, even when you send it to reinforce someone [even stranger]. this way, at least you will keep whatever units you have. and res, you should be safe, you prolly dont have too much [less than 86 of each if he is teuton]

Yeah, all he's going to get is clay, and a bit of wood and food (less than 10 probably). So at least he might start to ease up, considering he won't be getting much. But I have sent messages to people in my area to beware of witti, he is very strong. It appears Teutons are very unbalanced right now, since they are the only ones doing big raids at this point in the game. Hopefully this situation will change soon.

Teutonic troops are inexpensive, but their economies are likely not as developed, once us Romans really get our economies going the attacks from Tetutons won't be as effective, I hope.:scared:

I've been attacked by itravian overnight... raided with 14 clubmans... lost my (first) legionaire and over 100 crops.

Upgraded cranny, built wall and training again....

I was attacked for the first time just now. I was just about to make my first legionaire too. :grumpy:

I have a level 7 cranny and I will level it up soon; lv 3 is nothing....

Why Max? Do you have vast stores of resources? I have a level 6 cranny and I'm not even close to filling it up to the 66% threshold.

I think once you start an army, a wall becomes useful to reduce (rather costly) casualties. I'm more pissed about that than losing resources.

It depends on the clan. I've got a level 3 that can hold 340. I'm sitting pretty decent for now.

this morning I had 500/500 wood, although I built something last evening... I have a good per h production , Wood 48, clay 54 etc...

I just dont get why they attack developped players like us, risking their troops and the hight probability of having high a lvl cranny instead of farming deserted towns without taking any risks...

Wow, you're doing much better than I am :(

I've registered an account on the spanish server now too. It only has 220 active players, the largest alliance has 10 people, it is called 'German', the highest ranked player has 62 pop. :)

because if you are not a teuton, it doesnt matter how developed you are now, you will not have army to defend yourself. the attackers are most of the time teutons, the victims are romans. because, so early in the game,
- teutons have army,
- gauls have stash that's impossible to get
- and romans? not much. easy target.

and if you are a developed player it usually will mean that you dont have big cranny.
cranny doesnt add to your population, but costs res. if you have big population, it means that you spend your res on barracks, embassies, not crannies. so, ofc, if i was teuton, i would be raiding big fat roman cities all the time.

Out of interest, why do I have no option to build a rally place?

According to the building tree, you should be able to build a Cranny, Warehouse, Embassy and Rally Point right from the start, but I've never been presented with that option.

And of course I need one to have some troops...

you can only build it to the right of your main building, not on any of the building fields

in faminium, across the main center square, opposite of cranny

Jose H. Christos...

The place to click on is frelling TINY...

"The Settlers" was better.

The dumest question I've ever heard you ask. ;) Nah that's alright, it is easy to miss, it took me 2 minutes to find it. :p

Indeed. But I'd still raid the gaul 2 squares besides me, who has only 2 of population and who most likely doesn't hava a cranny... (will do as soon as I have 2 or 3 legionnaires. )

Damn,i'm being attacked in 16 mins good thing I don't have much

if hes out of noob protect he is dry already. if he is under protection, there are prolly 5 evil teutons waiting to strike as soon as it is finished :).

@Famine: a tip. i'm Gaul as well, i have rally point and barracks, and 1 phalanx. waste of time and resources. i cant afford to build more atm, so barracks are useless. i've seen that raiding armies have 10 or 20 units. so my phalanx is a cannon fodder really, only very expensive. i consider it a mistake for a gaul to build up military infrastructure so early in the game. also, for cranny-size reasons, gauls do not seem to be a popular target. romans are. i am going to wait until i have nice res production, then upgrade quickly and unleash theutates thunder - the best infantry unit in the game.

Nice said, DS. More or less what I was planning as well.

Son of a b!tch! The same guy who attacked me twice yesterday, attacked again today!

if he got away with res first two times, he will come back. that's what i would do.

^^^ it is so painfully obvious by now, that i really can't understand how some of us can get hit for thousands or hundreds of res, and more than once. send'em, spend'em but don't keep'em.
and if you can't attend to your village for a day? get yourself a citysitter. it is free, it is an option in the game, and we can [to some extent] trust each other, can't we?

tip on protecting res: i've noticed that if you put them on sale, they dissapear from your res poll instantly. i suppose they are being held for potential buyers.
well, why not use it to protect yourself? do you have 300 wood above cranny capacity? put them on sale for lets say 600 food. noone will buy it, and when attack is over, just cancel the sale and they come back to your pool straight away. you only need a marketplace to do that, and of course 1 free merchant.

Guys I've just finished my embassy and I'll accept the invitation from Boom in a minute.

I have question, what is the Mill for? Does it help for crop production?

there are buildings like bakery, mills etc.
they increase your production by 5% each level. there are 5 levels of these buildings so you can increase your production by 25%.

above info is from travian forums.ds

When you put items on sale you can select to only make them available to people in your alliance, or the travel time, if you're in the alliance, click that option and post somewhere in the other forum that you don't want people to buy them, or set the travel time to such a small number that one one will be able to bid except your immediate neighbours.
