Fortunately I spent all my resources prior to the errors. Gives me time for them to build up in the mean time.

I received a message in .at today "was hältst du von einem pb?"

According to altavista it is "what do you hold from one pb?"

Now my question is: What exactly is a pb?
 
It looks like the CSoCSS alliance members are going to be attacking me one after another. They're still losing more than they gain - when will they learn?

It almost makes me want to join an alliance for protection, but I'll hold out until I hit 100 population so I can make a real contribution.
 
Hmm, I may end up building an embassay soon.

BTW, when can I start building barracks? ANd all tha tstuff for offensive production... some sort of tech tree I should know about?
 
Can someone give me all the requirements for building settlers? At .org I've built every building it seems I would need including the city hall, but I can't seem to find the place to build the settlers.

That doesn't make sense.... Everybody can get a population of 100 or 1000 or whatever... Being in an ally just makes it safer and faster....

Hmm. How wrong I was. He's arriving in 40 minutes.

Sadly for him:

  • I've just spent as many resources as I can, so that I'm now holding 740 in a 2000 cranny, and won't be much over 1000 when he arrives (Teutons - my cranny is only 2/3rds as effective).
  • He's using infantry. By the time he's 10 minutes away, I'll already be attacking and he cannot retreat his soldiers in time.

So he'll get nothing at all. If he's got any troops left, I'll probably sacrifice the 30-odd Theutates Thunders he'll be on the receiving end of - but they won't go down without dealing him a heavy blow.

Edit: He's now 9 minutes out, with a 40 minute journey back. I'm now 21 minutes away from him. Unless he's got more than 500 axefighters in defence (or none and no resources), he'll incur heavy losses, while getting squat. If he cancels his raid, I'll think about cancelling mine...

Edit edit: Anyone want to guess how many soldiers he attacked with? Anyone? :eek:

Doh! (I could easily wipe that off the map though, clubbies are worthless against more powerful units, especially in defense)

Some Twit decided to become my second iTravian for Cosenza in the game. he lost 26 units attacking me for less than 200 ressources total. Do anyone knows the word suicide in Bulgarian? :)

Go for swordfighters as soon as you can, don't waste ressources in producing more phalanx yet, they're absolutely uselesss for raids: unless you have a lot of them you'll always lose units, even to empty villages, even more if they have a low population. You can send them to Rome if you want them to be safe in the meantime.

Tactics... I've been planning it since last Saturday :D

He's a one-dimensional thinker - and his defence is woefully inadequate. He may not make the same mistake again. But next time I'll send in the Haeduan instead. :D
