No. It says "At the moment this building has no use."

And if I'm not mistaken, no one here knows what it's for, yet.
 
Have I mentioned lately that my computer is a piece of crap?

Thisis one the Travian forums:

"That it is a townhall. In the german version you could use this building to hold festivals and earn culture points, but the festivals costs quite a lot ressources."

Next question: What are "culture points" used for?
 
So then how are people starting new villages without a Townhall and, I assume, no culture points?
 
You need 2000 cultural points to make a new village. The place/residence gives you a certain amount of cultural points per day. I'm guessing the townhall gives you more so that you can build more villages faster.
 
Question:

Has anyone picked up on a pattern of how the population grows?
 
Sorry for the vagueness .. but what I meant was what makes the population grow?

When you build something, you see on the bottom right corner a red crop, that is the amount of population the building requires ( crop/hour)
 
The little
5.gif
icon in the upgrades tell you how much each upgrade will cost you in crop use/hour, and at the same time how much your population will grow.

Only building and lot upgrades will make your population grow, but not troops training or research (troops still have upkeep crop costs, obviously).

Don't chose your upgrades in order to make your population grow though, it'll only bring your crop production to an halt really quick. Focus on building ressources income and population will grow continously. For example population grows a bit faster, once you get to lvl 5 crop lots, because further upgrades make your population grow, as opposed to lvl lvl 1-5 crop upgrades.
 
Well I've finally made it over 100 in population without being farmed to death. I wouldn't say no to an invite in to the GTP-R alliance about now (unwired / Harris Park) - although quite a few players have asked me to join al sorts of wierd alliance in the past 48 hours :odd:

I don't have an army at the moment so I might start one soon. Any tips on how to build one quickly?

In 2 hours, I'll have enough resources to build my 13 phalanx... then raiding the small fry will happen, yay!
 
I'd love some beginner to attack my second village in newbieville, their 3 clubbers would get a nice surprise from the 10 praets, 1 eq. caesaris and 2 imperians currently keeping an eye on things there.
 
OK, noob question(s) - what's the max upgrade level of the resources. At the moment I'm upgrading each resource to level 1, then I'll upgrade them to level 2 etc, but how high can they go?

Is there a max, or do they just keep upgrading forever, and what's the production rate at the top?

Also, am I correct in thinking the map is 500 x 500?

Level 10 ... I don't know the prod. for a single lv.10 field, but in the end you'll have
1000/ hour each in your starter village ( includes builings who increase the prod by 25%)....

map is 250 *250
