has neone sucessfully been able to flip their car over on that bump on the right, right b4 the start/finish line? I get close, but no cigar.

Nope, the game physics will interfere and not allow you to flip the car. That particular corner is often refered to as "the FreeJack Chicane"

There's only been one incident I've heard of someone flipping thier car and it was on the jumps at Seattle in an Escudo. There was a video of it floating around on a few other sites.

AO

oh yeah, i 've seen that one. It been fun to flip your car for sum odd reason

Its the most likely place you would expect to be able to flip a car....but after literally 100's of attempts using every car possible i have never achieved it....

some say you can flip the esduco on the test track...there is a video of it somewhere....i have never seen the vid...

I flipped the escudo in the test track, I maxed the power to 114000 some where to that, set the car to fly and was trying to make it fly, I did a wheelie and was almost around the track and hit the rail hard, about 3000 mph. it rolled over the replay was messed up and showed the car starting off and running in to the rail, thats were it stopped did not move from there!

rskyline, just shut up.

I've tried to get it to flip too on that little chicane on Trial Mountain with no success.

The cars can only be flipped over after breaking through a track wall and exiting the area covered by the physics engine. So no one has flipped a car on track.

It is not possible to flip a car over in GT3. I don't even think it is possible when you go out of the boundaries. What would happen after you flip anyway? Would it flip you back over, like in Need For Speed games, or would it take you out of the race and take you back to the screen that shows you the race? I don't blame PD for not making the cars flip, because it would be tough for them to decide what would happen after the flip.

I know how to do it.... just turn the tv upside-down

It can't happen. I've got my car rotating fast enough to do a complete barrel roll. But, when the axis reaches about 50-60 degrees rotation, it just stops. It looks like the rotation hits a wall or something. I was trying to hit the overpass & found out that you just fly right through it. After that I was trying to do a barrel roll. I wasn't satisfied with just trying to flip the car on its top. I wanted it to come all the way over onto its wheels again. I've done this plenty of times on Vice City & wanted to try it on GT3. But, as I said, it can't be done.

oh yah and i did a flip on Tokyo and it flipped and went 9 billion zillion mph and won me a hovercraft but i deleted the game save;)

RsxSkyline how gullible do you think we are?

im pretty sur u cant but what if a high bank was like more than 50 or 60 degrees would two wheels come off the ground

NEWBIE FIGHT!!!

The closest thing i've done 2 a flip is using the escudo on Trial mountn and riding off the little bump b4 the starting line at around 200km/h or more and hit the banners/wall on the top. And that was fun, 2 bad i 4got 2 save the replay :banghead:

u actually can flip ur car out side the track, i broke out of seatle with the polyphony001, drove straight to the end of the screen, the car just started flipping madly and i had to exit the race, dont beleive me? try it ur self, cant be botherd trying? then take a page out of vings book and start flipping ur tv around

I've never broke out of a track so I can't argue with you on that. I just know that I've never been able to do it. And I've had plenty of rotational speed but it stops.

I doubt this is true. I've broken out of Laguna (in GT2) and all I could do was go on and on.

I have never gotten my car to flip, and I don't think PD allows it either. I read in an article online a while back that the physics engine couldn't make the calculations for a flip.

if u dont belive then ****ing try it ur self....for **** sake

The only time I flipped a car at Trial Mountain was in gt2.
It was the World series,I was entering the long straight, and I had more speed into it than usual, but then I did a "Mercedes" over the bump on the long straight..saying my car was airborne.
I landed on the roof and the game still played so I had to restart.

I ****ing did and the ****ing car didn't ****ing budge.

Who are you? Ozzy ****ing Osbourne? Get a grip of yourself.

I don't believe a word of it (indeed a single blinking word of it), and I've broken out of the track more often than you've driven round it. And I've broken out of Trial Mountain, SSR5, SSR11, Laguna, Midfield (well, not out. More... through) AND Deep Forest. As well as the more mundane Cote and Seattle breakouts.

Show me an external car view video of a "flip".

GT3's car physics do not allow for more than a 45 degree tilt of the car laterally. End of.

im telling you the car dropped into a sorta blackness and it just started fliping and spinning madly...ggrrrr im not crazy

oh and how do u brak out of deep forest, i only know how to break out of ssr5, seatle and cote

Yes you are. From third person view, the car clearly varies it's pitch and yaw from nearly vertical nose-down to nearly vertical nose-up, and 45 degrees left-right, but at no point does it roll all the way over in one direction - the wheels are always nearer the ground than the roof of the car is.

If you can break out of SSR5, you can break out of Deep Forest.

And the SSR11 Ferris wheel sucks in close-up.

ok i just broke out b4 and i am willing to admit i was wrong :banghead:, but in my defence the car did drop into a blackness part and start SPINNING madly....i had to reset the game, sorry bout that just i was sure i remembered it flipping round...ahh well..oooops :O

oh and with deep forest, where is the breakout point? in ssr5 its at the end of pit lane where those tires are near the wall, weres the place u break out in DF

and one more thing....on my little adventure outside seatle, i notices seatle has a stadium  its all dodgy looking but cool none the less

It's IN the Pit Lane... ;)
