When growing up, I always liked these cars.

(would be great for colour chips, they came in some different shades)

A very stylish design by Michelotti of Italy and upholstered in British Leylands finest leatherette, but the engine was cobbled together from two 1500cc Triumph four cylinder units leading to problems with cam chains and overheating. I never understood why when they had the excellent and well proven 3.5 litre all alloy V8 Rover engine available from elsewhere in the BL Group, Triumph insisted on making there own cast iron, with alloy heads 3.0 litre V8. A lovely car with a great sound but many bad management decisions were made along the way aided and abetted by the likes of Red Robbo of the union which ultimately led to the collapse of Triumph and British Leyland.
