Yeah Sag I speed tested the car and you need to shorten first gear to ensure it doesn't bog down. In this type of car with all it's power at the redline it's even more important.
 
It was a fun event. I did very good and got myself a 2nd place in R1 after the start. It was all good until my incident with Sagaris. I ended up in the gravel and the guys in the back were having fights all over the track, so I joined in on the fun. All was happening so fast that I don't know who was passing who. GC, Kid, Third, ade and myself were really going for it.

Second race was much better for me. Got some peace and quite in 4th place at the beginning. After GT Flaw had some problems I started to chase him for the podium finish. He got off the track and on the grass just for a moment and it was enough for me to get ahead. Now I had 5 laps to stay in front and I got the hammer down. With my PB and staying focused before the three places, where there is a real possibility for a pass, I finished 3rd with smile on my face.

Great race Flaw and Congratulations to Longbow who won in both races despite Sagaris's great lap times and pole positions.

Wolf any chance you could send me the replay for R1 please? I wanted to take a few pics from it for my little collection. (They wouldn't match Longbows pictures though :p)

Here are the decisions of the stewards.

Race 1

L3 T1: SagarisGTB and Goodwolf - illegal pass by SagarisGTB and for not giving a position back he gets a stop and go penalty (on this track it costs you 20 seconds).
L4 T1: KidCZ and GT Flaw - same for KidCZ, +20 seconds
L11 T2: CTR Driver and Goodwolf - racing incident
L13 T1: Third Reign and Goodwolf - illegal pass by Third and not giving back a position, +20 seconds penalty

Race 2

L1 T1: Fuelmyfire, CTR Driver, Third Reign and GTP_ADE - typical T1 incident, so please guys be more careful and keep a cool head after the start of the race! There is no point in trying to win a race in the first corner!
L3 T2: SagarisGTB and Goodwolf - illegal pass by SagarisGTB and not giving back a position, +20 seconds
L6 T1: KidCZ and Fuelmyfire - same for KidCZ, +20 seconds

Not all of these passes were that dangerous so it isn't that bad as one might think by looking at the penalties. As Ade says this narrow and short track will always have drivers close one to another, and that leads to mistakes, especially when there is hard enough room to pass.

I don't wanna start great dispute here and that i shouldn't comment on it, but what was my second penalty in R2 for? I don't remember doing any wrong there and the replay link gives me 403 error, so i can't check it.

I don't remember turn one tbh. I think it might be for the last corner of the previous lap :shrug:

Great racing with you mate. Sunday Cup Reloaded starts in 3 weeks. The link is in my sig if your interested. Not FF though.
 
I kind of question the way penalties are given, 20secs is 30% of a lap...

A small pass with a tap due to different braking points and no further problems gets 20secs, a punt of track with damage gets discarded as "incident".

Can i get little help on the replays? I thought i can do it, but when i copy the replay on the flash drive (PS3/SAVEDATA/unzipped replay folder name here), the replay (nor the flash drive) doesn't show in the PS3 saved data utility. I have PAL version of the game, can it be that Goodwolf has different one and the replay is incompatible?

I agree with my first penalty, but the second one i should be the one who was lucky to get out without damage. I already showed my intention to overtake, went later on brakes and was cut out when it was already too late to do that.

Also i agree with Third Reign, that the penalties are bit too harsh, but won't go farther than this, hopefully it can be reconsidered for possible future series.

Nevertheless, still enjoyed these races with you guys. 👍
 
Did a few laps of Motegi even though I know I can't make it. After 5 or so laps with my Tsukuba setup I got a PB of 1:36.401 with a string of 1:36.5-1:37.0s.

Shame because I absolutely love Motegi and this car seems to suit the track aswell.

This week I won't be able to run a practice session. If someone is willing to do a job for me I would be most grateful. There is no need to send this person a friend request, you can run it in my lounge.
 
Unfortunately, I won't be available for racing this Friday. I was hoping to still join in on the practice session, but that looks to have been shelved.
