Yeah I know how you feel mate! :grumpy:

Racers that get DC will get half of points because internet connection with GT5 is not just bad luck or our fault.

Great racing guys, again I say, racing bumper to bumper with you Capt D was awesome and sweaty.
Great track Goodwolf, you have past you masters in track creature. Lol

Standings

Yesterdays race was fun. Fast, unforgiving track shuffled the standings. Sagaris made the most of it and our championship leader wasn't punished that much for his mistake. Longbow increased his points to second in the standings by 10, so now he leads by 36.

Cpt. Disaster had some time to join us this round and I'm sure he's glad he did. Got himself two podium finishes and the fastest lap time in the first race, which was also the fastest time this week.

By doing this he also joined the close battle in the middle of the standings where now 7 racers will try to get the 4th place. Flaw, Fuelmyfire and Ade will probably be at it like bees on honey.

Good fun last night lads, race one was a dud for me. Wee nudge at the start sent me off, like 4 cars going for 2 cars worth of space so no blame, and by trying to catch up I banged a wall. Race two was a lot better, including a great fight between me and Turbo 👍. After his bizarre off I had Gary to chase but we were setting near enough the same times for 3-4 laps. For the last two I decided to slow down to eliminate risks through some of the testing corners and got 2nd. Very happy :D

Very pleased with the results, thanks Goodwolf 👍 Dave stole second from me on the line in the first race after some great battling, and after Chris' rare mistake in the second, I was gifted the win.

Great stuff guys

Your pace was very good, as expected. You deserved to win, anyway. Sure, I made a mistake, but that's racing. I considered continuing, but my car is unstable enough. Rear suspension break is hard to control - if it was the front I would have. It was during the 3rd last corner (the second very quick one), I caught a wheel on the grass as I was pulling to the right side of the track and it shot me into the right side wall. I didn't think it was that hard, but hard enough I guess. Still, I can't complain - was turning some quick laps.

I think you had the same crash as Turbo did. I dunno if he touched the grass but they sound similar.

Driver Briefing
You all probably know this, but just in case I want to say that if you need to pit be careful. You have to do it properly or you'll miss the entrance and you'll have to try again a lap later.

We'll have a practice again this Thursday at 7pm GMT (8pm BST) so you can try this. Also I would appreciate some help after our practice because I already have a new championship ready to be posted at the end of the week.

I won't be able to attend the practice. But I hope to be ready for race day 👍

Probably...I'll probably peek at the replay. I will do some pictures this week, for sure.

Also, my lap time after a brief practice at Tsukuba was: 1:04.680

I've hit 1'03.9. Amazing what a difference in settings can to do with this car. I couldn't even hit 1'04s with my old settings. The closer transmission and the less understeery suspension make all the difference. I can't believe I didn't realize sooner. :dunce:

I wont be available for practice tonight as the competition between myself and a few others at work has hotted up on GT Academy, and I need to find some more tenths. Tonight is my only time this week that I have a chance to catch up, so Il see you all at the race tomorrow.

I won't be there for practice either, I've caught the same Academy bug as Ade.
Chasing 10th's trying to stay at the top of my PSN friends list.

I'll be there for the race tomorrow though. 👍👍

I'm hunting you! And you should fear me, there are still lots of tenths to be found on a good lap!

Haha, yeah, plenty of time to find, I've been up in every sector, it's just a case of stringing them all together for the happy lap.

I changed my setup radically again...but did get down to a 1:04.198. I'm fine with that.

I won't be about for the race tonight. Going camping.

Just browsing and seen this I may be able to join in tonight with you guys, if there is space of course. From reading the points I see roughly 12-14 show up every week so that makes me hopeful.

It's all dependent on when I get out of work, should hopefully be out by 8:30-9pm BST.

My sign up would be:

PSN: GTP_PaulMac
Car Colour: Sapphire Metallic
Wheel Colour: Yellow

This will be the only one of the last two races I can do though on work until way past 11pm next Friday.

Edit: Bought and tuned a car then went for a test round Tsukuba. After some fine tuning to my FF base setup I got a best lap of 1:04.4 with a few tenths more in it.

Will run in the car while I'm at work.

There should be room for you tonight. Welcome.

Hope you can make it on time for the 1st race. The second race starts at 10:05pm BST. See you there.

Work was dead (Delivery driver) so home already :p.

Also it is a public lobby right or do I need to add you Wolf?

Private lobby, so you will have to add the Wolf, 👍👍

Damn net.. After I DC'ed the room seemingly wouldn't accept me back. I think it may have been to do with Third_Reign not being able to see me but I could see him, dunno. (We had a weird accident in Q1 I went to his inside on T1 to pass then his car just turned through my car and blasted me off track..)

Anyway race 1 was a blast Sags Fiat bogged down which let me ahead only to lose 2nd to Wolf half a second later . Once we got moving I just sat in the draft que behind Wolf. After a few laps Wolf made an error in T4 so tried to swing round the outside, which was a mistake as my car got sideways and touched the grass slightly which let Sag back past. (Thought it was a decent save though ;))

Basically from there I just sat in Sags draft. He later made a dive into T1 on Wolf which sent them both wide and allowed me to pass Wolf, who I think ended in the gravel.

After we sucked back up to Longbow I had a few sniffs of passing Sag but never really had a real chance so finished rightfully in 3rd. Did a 1:03.7 with draft all the way round the lap though :p.

I was having no issues in the lounge on race 1, no loading bars or anything. On track I couldn't see half the field...first time that happened to me.

I apologize for contact to someone in silver car in R1. I qualified 5th, but started 9th, which confused me and had some unnecessary contact even before T1. The divebomb few laps later was my fault though. Other than this i had good races, in first i managed to get up to 4th and in second one i held to the 5th in last laps, which Ade spiced up a bit for me, but no worries, i was getting a bit bored, so it helped me concentrate. :)

I won't be around again for the last race, so thanks for good racing everyone. :)

I looked at the "move" I did on Goodwolf in race 1 and it was more than stupid, looked bad live and even worse on replay. Again apologies, and I ask you remove me from the results of that race.

Nevertheless it was fun. I had two pole positions, but I fell back to 4th at the start of each race. I had good pace and was too eager to make it count, and made a move or two that I wouldn't have made on most days.

Congrats to Longbow on the two wins, and I assume the championship. Well deserved. 👍
