I didn't expect to win that much advantage in sector 2 compared to sector 1. I consider sector 1 the hardest, then sector 2 is only one corner (and the rest is flat-out) and sector 3 is just another corner. Many guys are running good T1's and then lose some tenths at T2. Try to focus on the exit of the hairpin at the end of the tunnel, do this corner slowly so that you can do the next left-hander flat-out, then keep accelerating through the S.

Yea that's exactly what I do, but I think maybe with the DS2 I lose some precision and possibly with the wheel you can get it have 0 tire screeching where even with a little would be losing valuable time as this Truck seems a little slow in 3rd gear in the 2nd sector and plus going uphill before T2 would affect it some more.

Awesome idea, Jake! 👍

My first run:

26.718 26.433
48.755 47.872

My curiosity has been peaked... wonder if my buddy will let me drive his Lightning to see how true to life this is?

Board has been updated at the 1st post. I'll be away a few days and I am not sure how much I'll get online. Thanks guys and keep running! :)

I'm still not sure what the fastest way around the first two turns is (anything I do feels awkward and/or slow), but the entrance to the tunnel seems to welcome extreme aggression. Managed a 25.950 T1 but carried so much speed I missed the apex exiting the tunnel.

26.305
47.333

Didn't forget about this, Jake. 👍

First real session on this one -

26.366
47.769

Some work to do in the second sector for sure.

Will come back this weekend before submitting.

Thank the racing Gods for free a internet connection at the hotel. (well, it's not really free but at least it feels like it) Good to see you here, Kevin. :)

Third session:

26.090
47.136

Very close to my limits here. I can only see a tenth at T1 and some hundredths here end there now.

Got to love those short tracks. :D Will we be lucky enough to also drive some Autumn Ring Mini in this series? :sly:

Had time for a few laps this afternoon.

26.239
47.352

We've got some tight racing going on mid-pack eh?

Took a break from the beaches, bikinis, and beer to update the splits. There's definitely some tight racing going on here. Love it!

Are the bikini's tight? :sly:

 Tight bikini's and tight racing. Great combo. :p

cracked the 25/46 barriers but went a little too inside out on the last turn. cost me some time but it's starting to shape up even though i still feel the lines in that first sector are something of an enigma

t1: 25.965
t2: 45.964

Hi Max, not bad for an old goat :p do you mean 46.964?

I had a second try last night and came up with something o.k. Another .2 would be good with me, I'll try again now and see.

25.975 / 47.096

I'm still overshooting the hairpin now and again :(

Max: good to see you in here.
Nice splits by the by! 👍

Jake: I just noticed your logo on the truck door....Nice!:)

Nothing new here, been raining like a bas$%@d all night. :grumpy:
No fishing today as it continues to pour, 💡 I guess I'll run a few laps and see if I can catch Erik. Maybe even catch Kenny. He's back to work now so he'll be too tired to answer back........:sly:

Edit: got to run a few. Some improvement especially at the line.

26.091
47.307

Put together my best lap so far. In each of the three sectors I only messed up a little  instead of getting a perfect sector a two poor ones.

26.096
47.070

I'd like to get under 26 and 47 and it all hinges on a great tunnel entrance - but it seems like knife edge positioning the truck just right. Too cautious and its slow and a little too aggressive and either the truck bogs down or I clip the wall.

I have had some inquiries about replays. I just want everyone to know that if you are not able to submit a replay please do not submit a time.

Time submitted. Had another short session, but quickly ran out of patience, chasing the last tenth, so no improvements. Good luck to the rest of you. 👍

Great fun, Jake. 👍 Now bring on the next one. :sly:

Well, I managed to improve, but it looks like I'm still in the same spot on the board. :ouch:

26.214
47.332

Will give this one more go tonight or tomorrow before submitting. Great fun, but I'm not too quick for some reason. :dopey:

Pretty sure those splits on the board are off by a second as 45.9 isn't possible.
Btw post the next race please :sly:

We will find out whether that T2 is valid. Patience, it'll work out in the wash :sly:👍

To all racers: 24 hours until deadline.

That's not a 45, it's a 46, he said he had cracked the 46 barrier.

Submitting

Had no chance for another session so this is it

Submitting now. Ran about 10 more laps and could not improve, but was consistently within 0.1-0.2 of my time. :dopey:

Results are in! Please see post#2

Thanks guys :)

Thanks for your time and organization Jake, lookin' good 👍

Congrats to all the tops! Solid run Jake, and Niels right on my heals, I'll have to give more at appie I'm sure. Where art thow Max?

Congratulations guys 👍 It was a good combo with a nice turnout  So, I guess my replay is needed. Do you prefer it to be in .max format or a youtube video?
