http://www.ign.com/ has a bunch of new GT4 screens one of which shows trucks and a jeep in the garage where the GT4 team is photographing cars:

Looks like a Dodge Ram pickup truck.

I'm willin to bet thats not PD's personal garage. and if your sugesting that there might be trucks and jeeps in GT4 your insane.

Hmmm, is Laser Lens insane? Maybe.

Is he incorrect about SUVs and trucks in GT4? No. It's been well known for sometime, and from many different websites, that they will be in GT4.

ive seen footage and screen shots off PD testing out cars and ive seen SUV's and trucks between all the cars suggesting that SUVs and trucks will be in GT4...

I think trucks like the Ford Lightning, Chevy Silerado SS, Chevy 454 SS, GMC Cyclone / Typhoon, and the new Dodge whatever it's called (SRT-10??) with the Viper engine would all be fun to drive on road tracks.

Let's just hope all the SUV's and crap are for off road events only.

why just offroad... id like to drive them on the track too but not mixed in with cars like have there own SUV championship series and a Truck championship series or have races for both trucks and suvs... rally and road races. I dont mind trucks and SUVs cuz id love to race them around but like I said hopefully they wont mix them with cars...............

I hope you can enter a Ford Explorer in races with Civics. That would be so cool! I can't wait for GT4 so I can mod a pick-up truck!

SUV's may be totally the opposite to what most car enthusiasts want but you have to admit the thought of one totally broadside is rather entertaining :D

Solid Lifters definition of insane:

Yeah maybe 1 or 2 cups where they can race together nothing more than that, but generally cars and 4x4's in seperate cups.

SUVs and trucks in GT4 is a big dissappointment. That just takes away from another COMPETITIVE SPORTS car that could be included. I would prefer 80 different tuner versions of the skyline than a ****ing Dodge truck to drive around. I mean how many times did I drive the Pajero around in GT2? Maybe once or twice... then it was like... "hmmmm..... this pajero is slow and handles like a brick....NEXT!"

IMHO of course.

It won't be taking away from anything good, basically if PD have the choice to include a Dodge Ram or some nice sports car they will choose the sports car, basically PD ar'nt going to fill every tiny gap on the disk and are using as many varieties as possible, if GT4 did'nt have any 4x4's it would probably have 2 or 3 mor mini Japanese cars which there are loads of anyway. If you don't want them don't drive them, they're there for the people that want them as an extra, don't for 1 second believe that PD would put a 4x4 in GT4 in place of a good car.

I already don't drive most of the cars in the game. As long as there's more of the kind I like I'll be happy.

honestly, it does take away from the spirit of the game. at least in my mind it does. and I'll probably drive it.... out of boredom. i mean, if I wanna race a truck, i'll rent a 4X4 baja game or something....

sorry, i may be way off base on this....

It's your opinion and your entitled to it, I think more variety is better as long as the 4x4's are kept seperate from the cars in any races.

there are some trucks in gt4 at least one...well there was at e3...there is a pic on this site some where that is of a chevy ss-r...that is a tuck...i dont see why trunks cant be included here...s*** the gmc/chevy typhoon/cyclone can run with just about any car that drives around here...the new ram sr-t/10 puts down a very nice 0-60 time of 5.1(i think its 5.1 i will check that and get back to you) hell there is a saleen explorer that races and the track very friday with us that throws 8.50's(on street tires) in the faces of the people who think he souldnt be there because he drives an suv...i think they should have put them in gt 2..but that is my opinion...the new lightining has 500hp (not being made yet still a concept).... i think they should be in gt4

Im Actually looking forward to giving a Ford F150 Lightning a blast around a track.... Tuned up with **** loads of power to get the arse out on it:lol:

The Chevy SSR isn't really a truck its more of a small utility vehicle like an El Camino or something.

Hey all and all it comes down to 100 diff lancers or trucks i think id rather choose trucks instead of haveing pretty much the same car, and still this is a driving simulator NOT a racing one so PD could add trucks and SUVs if they wanted to and yet some people voice there opinion on how they wont drive them and such well i bet that once the game comes out and you see how nice the trucks look in the game you'll buy some a hook em up and race em over and over (like me lol). Its just a matter of variety and too me people do race in trucks and SUVs but still PD just wants to give us variety and thats what there giving us. Everyone does have there own opinion about it and hey thats great cuz PD would like that alot hearing the pros and cons of it but hey there already being modeled so why not accept the idea and give it a try before jumping to conclusions. Well that my opinion and well take it for whatyou will... =)

That would be a turn off.

If these vehicles are in, then I hope to GOD there is no fuel consumption. The current Lightning gets like, under 10 miles to the gallon. Sorry, I don't know the metric conversion for that.

(LOL) :D

Don't worry about it...even "across the pond" here in the UK fuel consumption is measured as Miles per Gallon. That doesn't sound too bad...on a motoring show here a certain car journalist went for an average drive around town in a Land Rover (Range Rover or Discovery I think) and it got around that figure (Give or take a gallon).

And what makes you say this? Is it because I disagreed with you once?

Let's see some proof before you make some personal attacks, which I don't appreciate BTW.

I hope there is fuel consmption, race cars like the JGTC cars have aound 6-8 mpg, cars like the Peugeot C60 have less, you get more that 1 gallon into a cars fuel tank.

thats not an opinion and you are wrong. People are not thinking when they say that "it's one less sports car" Bull ****. PD knows what they want in the game and they put what they want.

I dont like big SUV's in real life but if i could push an Escalade on 24's with 1000hp driting around Grand Vally That be the first thing I'd do.

How is this NOT my opinion? And how am I wrong?

PD knows what they want in the game and they put what they want.

Um... I don't think I was questioning what PD wants to put in the game, and I would never assume they WOULDNT put what they want. Its a dissapointment to ME.

People are not thinking when they say that "it's one less sports car" Bull ****.

It seems pretty simple, they spend X amount of hours modeling/recording/etc each vehicle. I PERSONALLY would like them to spend the X amount of hours on sports cars, rather than SUVs. Can you understand that?

Here, my friend, is your opinion, and that is cool with me. Have you seen many drifting Escalades in real life?

You don't like personal attacks? LMAO! Your first post in this thread(is Laser Lens insane? Maybe) was a personal attack on me. You made it personal when you singled me out by name. If you can't take it,don't dish it out.

You need evidence?

Now you're all defensive(saying you don't appreciate personal attacks) because I've uncovered your pattern of harrassment.
