Trueno SS on rally (fast time)

has anyone ever tried to race on rally tracks with a trueno ss? i have been using the trueno ss and is amazed that stock rally cars (arcade, free run) cant outrun a trueno. i didnt max out the horsepower of the car, i just set it on 265 hp (NA lvl 3) and started doing laps on tahiti II. and right now im testing different cars (with 300 n below hp) to see if i can beat my time. could anyone help me too check if this can be beaten using a different car? my time is 1:56:***. cars to use: anything. max power: 300 hp.
 
I don't see why your suprised that pupose built rally cars can out run a trueno with rally tires slapped on. And for other cars you for rallying you may want to check out the Evo. VI T.M.E. That was the second car i bought in the game then i used it for rally racing and tarmac. But anyways i took out a few rally cars with it then used the rally cars i won.
 
I only run on tahiti maze but for me the WRX STI 22B is the best low powered car. In 500hp trim it outruns 1000HP skylines (at least with me behind the wheel). Basically rallying is very dependant on balance, and the purpose built rally cars have many restrictions on them whereas the trueno is light and has pretty good torque.

what i said was, i was surprised that i "cant" outrun the trueno ss using purposely built rally cars. ok, let me check on the car. :)
 
i got to go and do laps again. i changed oil and was astonished to see an increase in hp, from 265-283. is that possible with an oil change? i did another lap record with 283 hp, 1'55.034. am still looking for other cars to use to beat my time. am currently experimenting with the rx-7, with 300 hp. anyone there that has any faster time? pls limit your hp to 300. track is tahiti II.

i still cant outrun the SS using rally cars.
 
Is that Tahiti Maze II or Tahiti Circuit II? I assume it's the Maze from those times.

i did check the website, but they dont have times for hp under 300

Yes they do.

Choose your track and engine type

Change display ranks from 0-1000
Change power to 1-300
Click view.
