I've just managed to scrape into the .1s, yinato's tune is definitely making the difference now I just need to make the most of the advantage.
 
yeah i did that an the #3 turbo, gives a flat peak of power so i dont have to pick my spot to change, the torque does drop of quite steeply but not sure if this does anything major(someone will tell me it does).

Does anyone have any advice for the last corner, ive tried watching rockstars lap and cant do anything hes doing!,
if you have a turn in point or place that you aim at once turned in, do you keep it flat or lift?

Tip for the last left hand corner heading towards the lake. Downshift to 3rd, then downshift to 2nd for a splt second to get the car to rotate, then back up to 3rd full throttle. I have picked up as much as .500 coming out of that turn by doing that. You only want 2nd long enough to get the car to rotate. You gotta do it just right or you'll spin. Just a quick flash of the 2nd gear. The better drivers probably already use this method, its just something I happened to do by mistake last night but noticed I picked up time doing it so I decided to try to perfect it.
 
cheers KB, im loosing about .7 of second in the last sector on the ghost im following, ill give that a go, still stuck with the fast kink onto the start finish line
 
Set a .117 but it was invalid because I got a little bit too much grass on the last corner. :ouch: If anything I probably lost a few hundredths because I tried to avoid riding the grass.

For that one, I approach it in 5th and slightly, ever so slightly, let off the gas just enough to get the car pointed at the left hand apex then full throttle thu it hitting 6th after I have the car aimed straight. I do that section by judgement as I don't use any markers for turn in. Coming down that hill tho, my eyes are focused on that left hand apex. Other than the occasional misjudgement, that section isn't really too hard for me. Hope this helps.

I thought the TT was starting to slip away because when i signed in this morning i was 7th, i was struggling for about half an hour then all of a sudden 2 .0xxs to put me 3rd ;)

Well done, ive messed around with your setup and i think it is faster. Reduce rear spring rate to 8, adjust the weight distribution to 47/63, reduce overall speed to 103 mph and change the brake balance to 6/7. I can use the rear brakes to control slides.

^This^ (Except for me, I'm at the mercy of my auto box, since in manual, my wheel skips gears randomly. :grumpy: )

It's not showing up quite the same, still had to add ballast and reduce power, what HP and ballast r u using?

What do you mean its not showing up the same. It should show as having 257 HP with full, or almost full ballast. Its all set up just like I did with my 2J to get max HP. Maybe its not transferring on the setup sheet or something. I'll just have to post the setup and specs the you can put them on yourself, maybe that will work. I can say this tho, the car is alot faster than most its my lack of skill that is preventing the cars power to shine. Thats why I wanted the better skilled guys to check it out as I think it can help them improve. Let me check things out and I'll be back.

It probably didn't transfer the settings, it shows up as 272HP 720Kg and 559 pp and default suspension etc, quite weird cause I remember the 2j came with all your setup work

Yea, those are the default settings on sheet B. Ok, I have to look at the setup then post it here then that way people can put it in themselves and still be able to take advantage of the high HP. Car will be offline for awhile. Thanks for helping me sort this out.
 
37/63 thanks, it looks quite exreme but the beat feels much better

Wow! I got to 142nd with this tune last night, my best to date. (Down to 165th already this morning. :lol:) I only did about 6 laps as I was tight on time. I should be able to get at least another .8 off. (Added a tad more rear camber & moved ballast a bit more to the front) Thanks again. :)

I just blew a lap which probably would have guaranteed me a top 10 finish, 0.38 off Amo at the end of sector 2. I was just too tentitive in the final corner, I'm usually between 0.03 and 0.15 off Amo in the last sector so a 0.8xx was likely. :ouch:

EDIT: Back into third by 4 thousandths, I should be on at least a .8 by the end.

I've recently golded both events, but I'm going to try for a faster time after seeing KB18FAN's tune. TYVM for posting it and I hope you don't mind if I use it.

First time I really focused on a TT and I'm quite happy with my 1.33.190. Use a controller and have no clue whatsoever tuning cars so 👍
I'm around #600 now, and 10th Belgian :)
 
I can't believe I just blew off 2 great laps in less than 15 minutes!!! A 23.2xx and a 23.1xx just went down the drain :banghead:. Oh well, at least I still improved to a 23.3xx. I will try again later.

just did the exact same thing at trial mountain, running with a ghost from 1.30.150, about .2 behind launched the car straight into the barier on the very last corner:ouch:,
 
Just broke into the 132's on Trial Valley. Nothing to brag about but this is by far my best TT yet. Currently about 450th. I think I've plateaued. Need to step away and try it fresh tomorrow. Think I've tried every tune posted on the thread and have settled on a blend of KBB and Peasant Slayer's tunes. Thanks to all for sharing.
 
Just broke into the 132's on Trial Valley. Nothing to brag about but this is by far my best TT yet. Currently about 450th. I think I've plateaued. Need to step away and try it fresh tomorrow.
