Tuning individual transmission gears.

I just started driving F1 cars in GT5. I find that the 4-7 gears are too long. How do I customize individual gears??

Go into you transmition, put your cursor on the gear you would like to change, hit X, scroll left or right to customize.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've tried that. But the box you click on is grey. And I can't click on it. What version of the game do you have? I have the regular version.

Which F1 cars? The Ferrari F2007 and F10? Formula Gran Turismo?

My game is not updated. And I race with fgt right now. But it's not just f1 cars, its with any car.

I also can't see where to adjust the weight ballast.

Ballast adjustment is done under "chassis".

In non-racecars, you need to buy an adjustable transmission to adjust individual gears, but any racecar should already have a fully adjustable transmission.

Make sure you have the fully customizable transmission.

From your home screen click the little white car icon on the left, below gt life, find your car and click it, should bring up a page with info about the car, click on tuning, transmission. Select the fully customizable transmission, then select the icon to the right of it and then tune it how you want.

I think that's the process. I don't have my ps3 near me to verify it, but that's basically the way i do it.
