I thought it was a Nissan Sunny GTI-R, hence the GTIR portion of the filename.

The file name says it is an Evo w/ an HKS SSQV and it might have the recirculation kit on it instead of venting to the atmosphere. It sounds very similar to my Forge diverter valve which recirculates back into the intake. It gives off a different sound than the vent to the atmosphere valves but won't cause any idle problems.

I believe it was also called a Pulsar in certain markets.

in japan & australia the nissan sunny is known as a pulsar

a friend of mine has a N14 pulsar GTIR and im sorry to say im not real impresed with it. it only just pulled away from my stock SR20DET 180sx (that i dont have anymore) from a rolling start. the GTIR SR20 has many improvements eg. high flow T28 turbo (T25 on S13's), quad throttle body intakes, larger top mount intercooler but my mate has a even larger front mount intercooler.

very nice off the line though.

I think the difference is around 25 hp between the GTIR and your SR20. AWD cars are not the best for rolling start races though.

Speaking of Turbo sounds, I heard a heavily modified 240SX turbo, , that was just awesome.The guy was stepping on the pedal, because he pulled right infront of a Bus that was coming behind. Crazy!
