Turbocharging Question

Is there a maximum amount of how many turbo chargers a car can have?

Although if you put another engine in the boot you can have 14 turbos. :)

Stage 4, at that point you can't put any more turbos on.

Unless it's a Japanese Tuner. Then you have the possibility to add a highly advanced system that yields just as much power, but with minimal lag. :sly:
 
That is ridiculous. Looks ugly too in the engine bay.

As for the quad turbo set up on the 4 cylinder, you have to wonder about the cost vs benefit... I mean add all them together and it's a lot of air flow, similar to a large turbo, but they are small, so less lag - but each is being spun by just one cylinder - l'd love to see some results. I think a properly sized single turbo on a 4 cyl to get a good compromise of lag and power is hard to beat.
