plz help

They rock. At such a low price, the ideal setup would be two of these on the intake and one on the exhaust. I'd expect an output increase of at least 30-35W with a setup like that.

A turbo + supercharger combination can be useful, the supercharger can provide the low end grunt and turbo will provide the power in the higher rev range. In theory it could work wonders, not that many cars have had it done though, but some have.

You could ask that guy, it seemed to work for him.

Carl.

Oops, forgot to finish the last sentence: "... as depicted here: 💡"

Fact: a hard-running engine will intake anywhere from 500 to 1000 cubic feet of air a minute.

Query: do you think that little thing is capable of adding anything like that kind of air volume to the engine?

It's not a turbocharger. or a supercharger. It's a scam

It's a piece made of of aluminum sheet with fins that fits into the intake of a car. The idea is that swirling gases into the intake will promote better fuel/air mixing. If there's any gain in performance, it's minimal.

In reality, it's a great idea, make something cheap and sell it for a bunch of money. It's also really dishonest.

EDIT: aaaand people beat me to it...

How would putting 2 on your intake help more then adding one? (if one actually made any difference that is)
You use this to spin the air into a vortex, then disrupt it to spin it into the same vortex as before? That makes no sense. :dunce:

Its sad to think I hear about this stupid thing on automotive shows too. Just goes to show you that with enough money, you can make people say anything. 👎

I think you missed my next post...

I remember a guy on Honda-tech not to long ago did a test with these kind of products. He bought the turbonator and did before and after dyno's. At the end of the test he actually lost horsepower instead of gaining any. I wouldnt recommend buying it. If you want some performance get a ECU Upgrade or an Intake , Exhaust setup.

I'll say the same thing I always say on the subject of the turbonator.

You'll notice a huge difference when it breaks into little pieces and sucks down into your engine. I've heard of it happening more than once.

It ain't got nothin' on this.

That is the funniest thing ive ever seen!

look at what some people asked....:

Q: Would i be able to swap this from my ford escort to my vw rabbit, for year round use.
May-09-06
A: yes.. should swap out no problem

Q: Must this unit be used only on an import car? I think it would look schweet on my John Deere riding lawn mower.Or would it look disproportionately o...more
May-09-06
A: should work on any motorsport application.

Bolt this on for any application and add up to an additional 100 wheel-horsepower and up to 75 ft/lbs of torque with this stage 1 cardboard supercharger
These people are serious!

A genuine member here at GTP claimed to make some big power gains from using multiple Turbonators but had no proof. Gladly he admitted he made it up later.

*just noticed carl already linked to him*

Like others said they scam uninformed people into thinking you are getting some sort of forced induction. Any good they may do due to spinning the air into a Vortex is lost due to the restriction.

Hey, any of you guys seen the video on streetfire.net where some dudes hooked up a gas powered leaf blower to the intake of an S10 and some other car? I forget what that car was. Anyway, they dynoed these two stock, then unhooked the airbox and stuck the leaf blower into the intake tube. I think they gained about 10 horses. No joke.
