Really want to play this; the last game was great and if the new one is more of the same then I am sure I'll enjoy it!

Yesterday I finished with Assassin's Creed Shadows and I can say that game is fantastic! I spent 132h with Naoe (more) and Yasuke. I hope so this is not my final hanging with these two great warriors in big, wonderful setting Japan.
Also yesterday, I started with fresh bought Clair Obscure: Expedition 33. Spent with it 3h and today 5h more - what I saw is very promising. Great story, graphics and majestic music - it reminds me on South of Midnight, where music was fantastic too. I see this will stick me to PS5 too.

Had some cash left over on my Nintendo account. So on a whim, I downloaded The Escapists 2 as it was discounted to $7.50. Still coming to terms with the mechanics and everything, but I really do like the vibe of it. Also bouncing between F1 Manager 24 and NBA 2K25 (sorely for the Eras mode) on the PS.

Destiny 2 (new campaign is not good and full of bugs) Gran Turismo 7, World of Warships Legends all on PS5 Pro and Raid Shadow Legends on my Gaming PC.
Got a bit bored of the Resident Evil classic marathon by the time I got the remakes and I had a voucher for Amazon so I bought Expedition 33.
I was initially put off because I had heard it was difficult but so far its fine, still only 7 hours in though, I wont hesitate to drop the difficulty if it gets extremely hard as I just cant do very hard games these days.
After 7 hours im loving it. Cant wait to see how the story plays out, very good setting and storytelling so far, and by far the best turn based battles ive ever played.
The lumina/pictos and each characters different battle power ups and the way they counter act each other is a bit confusing though which is the only part im really struggling to get on-board with.

I technically finished Control today (in about 15 hrs of gameplay), but there's a lot of things to do after plus the two expansions. Easily one of the best games I've played/experienced. 9/10.

In honor of Ozzy Osbourne, I'm playing the last part of Doom: The Dark Ages with a playlist of him and it fits like a glove.
And I finished the game today in about 25 hours of total playtime. It's visually impressive, with great shooting mechanics, but rather shallow in the story department (demons bad, you kill demons, the end). I may get back to it when the expansion is out, so 8.5/10 is my rating.

I'm putting serious hours now into Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Update: And at 12 hours of gameplay time I gave up, even though I played in story mode (easy) difficulty. Although it's turn based, it also has the parry/evade mechanics of souls-type games that I detest, like delayed responses and spam combinations, second stages, self-healing, etc. This causes the fights to drag for 10-20 minutes or so, even against lesser minions. It's a beautiful game to see and hear (that soundtrack), no doubt, it's just not for me. My rating is N/A.

Started my second playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2 last month and it‘s even better than I remembered it. I‘ve been playing videogames for 20 years now and RDR 2 is easily the best and most immersive game I have ever experienced. Absolute masterpiece!

Besides having a guitar, drums and mic, I even have the keyboard peripheral which was introduced for this game, but I don’t quite have the courage to hunt for the pro guitar (which has six rows of buttons to mimic strings, and with not nearly as many frets as a real guitar). Between the setlist, keys, and pro instruments, this is the definitive game of the genre even though it came out when the fad was basically dead.

Completed RoboCop: Rogue City Unfinished Business. Took me about 15 hours to complete, I wouldn't call it short for a game which is essentially just an expansion to the previous game, but I also didn't want it to end. Was a blast, highly recommend if you liked Rogue City.
Dusted off my Switch to play some backlog games but got side-tracked and started Metroid Prime Remastered for a millionth time. With Prime 5 launching any day now (or month or year... who the hell knows) I am getting ready. Come on Nintendo, shadow-launch Prime 2 and 3 please!

This was what I was expecting and, given that it hasn't been released as a full price game, I'll definitely be picking it up sooner rather than later.
Didn't get as much time for gaming at the weekend as I hoped, but I tried to get a few unfinished games closer to completion.
I had stopped playing Boltgun as I was finding it a bit of a grind (and I had got stuck on a boss!). Went back to it and killed the boss on the first try, so carried on playing through. Couple of levels to go and I am done. My original intention had been to do another playthrough on the hardest difficulty and finding all the secrets, but I think I'd rather spend the gaming time doing something else.
I can't remember why I stopped playing Huntdown, as I was really enjoying it at the time (I think I was distracted by something else and forgot to go back to it!). Dived back into that and completed the last couple of levels. Fantastic game and the best new side scrolling shooter I have played in a lot of years.
Finally did a bit of grinding in Rush Rally Origins to get the rest of the cars levelled up.
Really wish I had stronger feelings about RDR2; I enjoyed it and played it through to the end, but I had no desire to carry on playing or go back and play it through again.

I think I might have mentioned it earlier in the thread, but a good friend of mine had been going on about RDR2 for some time before I picked it up. If it hadn't been for him, I suspect I wouldn't have got into the game proper at all, as I found the prologue section unnecessarily slow. I stuck it out - and was glad I did - as the main game was enjoyable but, for me, it wouldn't place in my top 10 (which I know it does for many).
I played Zero Dawn and Ghost of Tsushima around the same time and I preferred both of those over RDR2... if I ever find myself with a lot of spare time though, then I'd like to go back and give it another go.
