Why is it that the racing line for these two corners are hatched in yellow as if they were off-limits? I should also note that AI stay outside of these hatched areas.
I wonder this too. I always take that line as well. I think imaginary rock fall areas is a decent theory. I think of them as some sort of unofficial track limits. The paint is there but there is never a red-time penalty for driving there.
They're the "rubbered-in" part of the track so PD must have intended for us to go there. I just find it strange that the AI is programed to stay on the outside. Its annoying when you're racing AI on this track because you have an unfair advantage.
