Really disappointed with my disconnection last night! I prepared for the race hoping it would be my ticket to a first win! Then a step closer to being promoted to div 2.

Unfortunately, my ISP decided the race for me. Who won in the div 2 and 3 race?

Clearly, I must have been looking in the wrong place or simply overlooked it. I'll see what I can figure out for next week.

So what kind of avg. laps were you guys running last night?

Thanks Socket. I did peruse through that list, which led me to purchase the Evo IX. I missed that it was a race version of the car though. When I found this club I figured this would be a fun way to feed the racing itch that wouldn't be particularly complicated or time consuming. Now I see most of the cars being used probably need to be unlocked or won or something..?

Just gotta buy them. They're all premium cars and can be bought at anytime. All you gotta do is break them in and race them.

Lessen, what game level are you on?

Div. 1 was a fast of 1.29.7xx with average of 1.30-1.31

The evo was the right purchase, you just needed to go to gt auto and add the racing modification to THAT car. Cost a few hundred grand.

Next week is same deal, buy the tvr in the dealership then bring it to gt auto and race mod it!

Lessen, ill gift you next week's car if you send a friend request to Scarecrow937. It just needs breaking in via one of the B-spec enduros and repainting (as it's currently green/yellow #37). If your B-spec level is too low to run one of the enduros, give me a few days and ill break it in before sending.

Great race in div 1 last night guys! The evo was a beast and very fast around trial mountain. Just hitting the first section towards the tunnel correct was driving bliss!

I pitted both races at lap 15 and had some followers in with me. First race it worked out well for me and psycho, we caught the leaders with a few laps to go. Great battles all around, so hard to pass anywhere!

Second race looked like a snake of evo's for 10 laps or so, no one out of line! I had enough of the pressure at lap 15 and pitted again to hopefully freshen up and let the leaders duke it out. Hopefully have the same outcome of race 1. Scarecrow had the same idea! We came out and could not gain ground on garage father or psycho fast enough.. Great run guys!

So it's a first and third and I'm very happy with that! Close racing boys!!! Good job!

Enjoy your weekend! Tvr is next! ( fun fact: When gt1 first came out, tvr sales increased 6 times the previous year in Japan!)

Like I mentioned. I don't play the "game" too much, never really have.

Thanks for the tip Lowrider.

Those are Division 1 lap times. Your Division would be 2-3 seconds a lap slower. Don't worry about lap times. Race the race and not the car. Be sure to be at TYRO practice tomorrow at 8pm Eastern in Turtle Town. There will be plenty of guys there that will be glad to help you get started.

Thanks Turtle. Although, I don't play the game too much I have been playing GT ever since the original debuted many moons ago. I can get around fairly consistantly, just curious where I might stack up. I was practicing with the box stock car yesterday afternoon running high 1:36 to low 1:37.

Hey Lessen, send a FR to psn randy1122.Since your bob isn't leveled up enough to break a car in for ya I'll have my bob break in the TVR needed for this weeks race and have it to ya by 5 in the morning. All you'll have to do is paint it and you'll be ready for practice tomorrow night.
Have a good one.

What exactly are you guys doing to "break-in" your cars. I figured a hundred miles or so of practice would be good enough..? I did that to my Evo IX and after the oil change I gained about 12 horsepower. I take it they need more tracktime than that eh?

Speaking for myself,I have my bob run the Laguna seca endurance race. Some people have them do the Grand Valley endurance.
It takes 186 miles to break one completely in.Buy the car change the oil, break it in(186 mlies)then change the oil again. That will give you max stock hp.

Sweet info. Thanks Socket!

side note- I hope to have fun racing next weekend. I did the RM mod to the Evo and managed low/mid 1:32's consistantly with a 1:31.8 hot. Not lightning, but reasonable pace.

You will fit right in here. Consistency is key in the enduro's.

The tvr is very fun and witty! Should make for a great race! Try it!

I put the car together a while ago. Looks great in purple; and I LOVE Suzuka! Hands down my favorite racetrack, well except Monaco. Too much 1:1 racing on today to do much more gaming though. I'll give the car some laps tomorrow since I don't have to work. :)

Hello everyone,

I want to apologize for not showing up for Saturday's race. The week before, as I had said before, I was out of town, but this time I had no way of notifying my absence as I left home and thought I would make it back in time. I even left my car breaking in but couldn't make it back. I should be able to make it for next Saturday's race.

Sorry again

No worries peterrod, thanks for letting us know!

Stop texting and driving! It's illegal, you know!

I don't text and drive. I only text when I'm stopped at a truck stop or at my deliveries. Had a bad experience out in California once because I had my nose in the phone talking to some girl and I didn't see traffic stopped while I was going 65 in a semi. Scared the piss out of me and I still to this day don't know how I didn't flip my truck over when I jerked the wheel like I did. Since then I've never texted or spoken on the phone while driving.

With your gt5 skills, you did one of those passes you do on me you jerk your wheel to the left and jerk it back to the right. Nice driving man!
