Can we adjust AYC controller on the mitsubishi RM?and what is the little battery indicator in bottom rt hand corner? Can it be used to my advantage?

I believe that you can. If it will let you in the pits with Tuning prohibited "ON" after you've adjusted it then it is allowed. I'm not sure what the battery indicator is or that I have even noticed it.

If any of you folks are ever near Louisville KY let me know and we'll hit Blue Grass Indoor Karting for some fun laps. Did 3 heats yesterday with wife and son and some other folks and had a blast. The Karts are much better than the usual fare I've seen at other touristy facilities, and by better I mean they do run at or near 40MPH, have a adjustable pedals and seats, each car has a telemetry and timing transmitter and you'll even get a results printout at the end of each heat you do.

I was fairly impressed. The only downsides I saw to the facility were they now serve Coke products instead of Pepsi and they have no snackbar facility.

Hey Dragon, I was actually there on Saturday night doing the 4 hour enduro, did an hour and half stint with a quick time of 24.3, and averaged a 24.5 through my stint @ 230 pounds of driver ballast :) The skinny kids (140-170) were running 23.9-24.3 range. My team finished P2, when I jumped in the kart we were P7 and when I jumped out we were P3. I forget what my handle there is now, it used to be Choate51 but I think it's something R rated now..... ****ed spelled backwards.....Or it might be Driscoll now. I don't even know lol. Pretty much I'm as fast as I can be with the weight I'm carrying. I'll be there Thursday night with a cummins group and I'll be running in Cinnci next week.

Damn! Didn't know you were in this area.

Yeah, I carry 240lbs and my son is around 180lbs, I think. Our best out of the 3 heats we ran was 25.718 and 25.668 respectively. I can't even imagine doing 1.5 hrs in one of those things. We did our first 2 heats back to back and I had to rest almost 45 minutes before I wanted to go again. Sweated like a pig after those first 2, probably lost a couple of pounds and that accounted for the improvement in the 3rd heat :sly:

We signed up for the standard membership so if you plan to be there next month or in the future let me know and we could meet up and you can school us on how it's done. I was fairly impressed when I heard the track record is 23.5 something.

Yeah the fat guy record is around 24.0. The hardest part of the long stint is keeping concentrated. My mind starts to wander but I stay fast somehow lol. Gotta just breath and make sure you keep blinking them eyes. If you don't do that all bets are off. Neck is destroyed but other than that it was fun racing at 1am hehe.

Fun race this weekend everyone! The disconnect in race 1 hurt as I was holding a good place (for me) until the weimaraner fight ripped the power cable out of my PS3. Two race two wrecks (frustration? Lol) left me needing anything other than last place next week to stay in the division. The only thing that upsets me is my plan for wearing out Martin with 4 hours of racing two series failed catostrophically. HE KEPT GETTING FASTER! Martin... bro... pull over and sell some ice cream and give us a chance. (Just kidding... haul ass and take names mate!)

👍 scarecrow937, it was good racing. Both series had good combos(like usual). Still upset over my off-track in race 1 of the Enduro races. Cost me about 8 or 9 seconds and probably the win. I ran race 2 well but didn't have enough left to keep Drex behind me. He was running fast in race 2 after his pit.

Drex is a Beast! I finally made my first ever pass on him during the Tokyo special event. Took me an hour and 20 minutes to make. I then proceeded to blow it on the last lap dodging a car out of fuel who switched lanes on us as Drex and I came through. I'm pretty sure I saw him wave into his rearview as he passed me... huge grin, lol. Ill catch him one day, hopefully...

Great, thank you for joining the Enduro Racing Series. The color combination and car number you have chosen are available. Just accept the PSN Turtle FRs we send you and you should be good to go. Welcome to the Turtle racing League!

Are we going to open practice to public just like what you guys did for F1? I guess I can't say if it actually went good or not. As of if you got racers or not. But just a suggestion well oshawa Joes suggestion.

No, but it went well though!

Need some help with b/b.Right now I'm running 3/7 which seems to keep my front tires from turning red as much. But with this car so heavy in the front should I run a high front and low rear bb?

My bias is 3 / 7 as well. I found that that bias helps the car turn in very well when the tires are fresher, and when they are a few laps old, I change it to 1 / 7. If you pace yourself and not kill the front tires early in the race, you should be good to the midpoint of the race , where I think you should pit for new tires.

For those of you who are interested.

Hmm. Doesn't appear I know how to embed youtube videos. Thought the youtube tags would do it, but apparently not.

Got a little help and they told me how to do it.

Thanks Otaku. I feel better about my about my bb decision now knowing a fast guy is using same setting. Thanks again.

It works. Looks like a lot of fun

I haven't run the car yet, but if it is anything like the Subaru TC I ran a 0/8. That's what I will start with and then adjust on the fly.

Nah. Open karting. First time either of us had been to that track. I'm not even sure how long it's been there. If I should ever win the lottery I would buy the empty old home depot in Frankfort and convert it to multiple kart tracks. It's big enough you could probably put 2 or 3 Kart Space IIs in there and still have room for a bowling alley.

You must have really enjoyed it then. That's great! Good luck winning the lottery. I keep buying tickets because I figure I have a 50/50 chance of winning. Either I win or I don't, 50/50 chance.

I don't know how you guys run more rear brake than front. It makes the car really unstable going into turns, especially on cars that already oversteer.

There is a reason why every car you have ever driven in real life has the brakes biased to the front. Far more stable under braking, especially heavy braking. I am guessing most race cars are the same in real life as well, especially road course race cars.

When I want the car to turn more I down shift. That has the effect of adding more rear brake bias but it is controllable on the fly. If I am entering a turn and the car just won't rotate through, I down shift to get the car to rotate and then, bump back up to the gear I was in to exit.

I don't usually mess with brake bias but the only reason I'm considering it with my 24hr nurb effort is to even out the tire wear some. While I realize the 908 I'm using is eating the tires under acceleration more than under braking I would still like to balance out the wear a little. The only ways I know to do that are to exit turns under less throttle or reduce the braking strength of the rears. To compensate for lack of rear braking I would increase the front. This will cause more brake understeer and I'm aware of that and would likely have to do what you suggest and snap shift to a lower gear to get the car to rotate. I don't really like doing this because the risk of snap oversteer is higher and my experience as a younger man with dirt bikes and dune buggies, where we would do the downshift thing just to make those vehicles oversteer, makes me leary of it in game.

A lot of folks I've played GT5 with do prefer higher rear bias, but only on cars that oversteer and if allowed, they can't tune it out with suspension and diff settings.

I never changed brake bias until I entered division 1. Because we usually run longer events I keep a low bias, typically around 3/1 for most cars. AWD ill run anywhere between 1-3 over 6-8 (front over rear). If it's on a car with just a hint of understeer, ill run a 2/2 or 2/4. I never change mine mid race though, except for one race where I was losing time on the back half of my stints. I apply the theory Garage was talking about and it seems to work great for me. I will do everything I can to stay in a higher gear, but if its not working, a quick downshift then right back to the previous gear works wonders. It can kill my exit speed sometimes, but not as much as bouncing off the wall. Dragon is right about the snap oversteer though. Be careful doing that in Paganis and similar oversteer cars.
