you can see in the replay you had me by a nose at the beginning of the parabolica, but somehow i must have ended up with a bit more momentum coming out to get back by you Psycho. Or being on the inside my path was that much shorter to the line.

I made a move to the outside to make sure you had enough room on the inside and might have lost some momentum doing that and I had to cover more ground being on the outside. That was fun, we'll have to do it again some time!

Regarding the race, since we're all racing in the same car that's unlikely to re-paint them, instead can we use different colored helmets to tell us apart? For example, since I'm driving a yellow car with white wheels, I'll wear a yellow-white helmet to compensate for that.

Drivers are expected to repaint the cars that can be repainted using unique color combinations. I think your sentence may be missing a word so I am not exactly sure what you were getting at.
