Great banner martin_ky! There will be a lot of Cobras going sideways Friday night!
 
I'm a little nervous about this beast! The track does not help the situation either, anyone using a wheel for this race will be getting a workout!
 
I've given up on the Cobra Jay! It's so hard to tame... I recently started using a wheel from DS3 all my life and it didn't help either!
 
I'm going to be in my lounge all day practicing on and off. If anyone is able to join send me an FR. I didn't know if I could just take over Turtle Town to set up practice. I'm building up slowly, 10 laps at a time, removing AIDS and bringing the car to 100% power. God willing I'll get this track!👍

Hey jay*doc, that is what Turtle Town is for other than the designated Official Practices. So, go take over Turtle Town! 👍

What time are we racing? I'm on the west coast USA. Also did you accept my FR's from my GTP_b00gee60 account. I'm up for some practice as well.
 
Races are always scheduled using East Cost Time, and it's at 10PM, I believe thats 7PM your time, right?

I'm not an official TRL person, so I can't help you with the FR's, but if you sent them, I'm sure they'll accept prior to the races.

Thanks for the time info. I'll be there. So just pulled a 10 lapper in my lounge with the Cobra on Cote. Hmmm, what kind of times are we looking at here? I love a challenge and this car has it all but this snake will bite if your not careful :-)

I'm in for tonight, I think I'm about as good as I can get! 1:50's in solo runs consistent, hopefully there will be plenty of room in places so I can let you all by!
 
Race 2, 26 laps and 46 minutes of racing Shelby Cobras at Cote with heavy damage. Gap between 1st and 2nd .084. Great Racing Guys! 👍
 
That was an intense race. 46 minutes of total concentration. Well done by everyone.
 
Hey Turtles,

I just want to thank everyone who participated last night, ya'll are a stand up group of racers! 👍

I know that I am not the fastest, not the smoothest, but just being out there and learning, getting more experience, and last night, even learning to pass a little, rather than my typical scoot over and letting the quicker guys by (although I did that a little as well :scared: ).

Watching the battle for first unfold via the map was pretty intense, at times it just looked as if one arrow was in front, and occasionally you'd catch a glimpse that 2 or 3 were there.

Sorry for getting a little tangled with Shred in the first turn on Race 2, I think the confusion of who was supposed to be in what position caused it. It was not even a battle for position, just a slow speed mash up right there.

Looking forward to the next one!
 
great racing last night!

race 1 was a bit unfortunate for me since i sustained a damage from a bump from behind on turn 2 or 3. race 2 was a bit better but concentrating on all 26 laps was really difficult for me. great learning experience!

it was all fun and amazed by the leaders doing all laps consistently on qualifying times. i even witnessed psycho and martin's battle after they lapped me... i made an error by watching the 2 of them go at it! :dopey:
 
Hey guys be sure to save your replays, they are a blast to watch and you can learn our lines and what we are doing to be consistent. 👍

Just checking in ahead of time, for NASCAR on 1/11 in going to be in the 2011 Denny Hamlin #11 Camry (Fed Ex).

Yes, we have divisions based on skill level including Division A which would allow you to use driver assists if you choose. 👍

Race Recap
This week was a very challenging 2 race series at Cote on heavy damage in the very slippery Cobra. Everyone who participated deserves a big 👍. Race 1 had a few early pitters due to damage occurred on the first lap. This seemed to be the more difficult race of the two for everyone except martin_ky. Race 2 had a very good 3 way battle for the lead the first half of the race. TX_Executioner led the first half fending off charges from Psycho and martin all with front suspension damage(nicely done:tup:). Psycho-Tuber also ran a good portion of the race with minor front end damage while keeping to door closed enough so that martin_ky couldn't pass finishing only 0.084 seconds behind him. The final standings had a tie for 5th place between Johnsom and Team-Kracker. Johnsom won the tie breaker by having the faster lap in both races. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the races.
 
I've got Turtle town set up for some Audi R10 on la Sarthe practice if anyone wants to join in.
