I tried to find you last night to practice, but you weren't in your lounge or Turtle Town lounge. I'll be on tonight, probably 9-10 pm cst and will be practicing for either Tyro or Flex races.

That's what I've used since I started GT5. I don't like the bouncing around the camera does. On forza I used the 3rd person cam.

I've tried the roof view and I like it on ovals for some reason, but don't like it on every other track because I don't see any movement in the car. It just kinda looks like its sliding left and right around the track. And no rear view mirror.
With the bumper cam atleast can see the weight transfer back and forth. I like that. Not sure how to use weight transfer for an advantage yet though.
One thing bad about bumper cam is that when your on someone's bumper that's pretty much all you can see..
Is roof cam faster for you?

This morning during my second 21 lap stint at autumn ring with VW ran 11 Laps out of 21 in the 1:27's. I'm gettin there buddy.
I envy y'all this weekend.

My pb was 1'25.3xx and last night with Whitlock I got a lower 1'25.2xx using the roof view. I like the roof better. I don't like starring at a bumper when it's close racing.
 
I'm not sure how you can use roof cam. That view seems like the car is all over the place. I've been practicing with the cockpit view and racing with the bumper cam
 
I guess the sound of the car is the best in cockpit view. But just so hard to see much to me.
Speaking of sound. I play in the spare bedroom which is right beside our daughters room so I keep the sound down really low. Volume on 8 most of the time. So I've been pricing mic/head sets. Turtle beach are 49.97 and Sony are 99.98 at wal mart. Which of the two do y'all think is the best for the money?
 
Buy the Turtle beachs I had a set they work really well for about 1 year then the wires start to come apart and no one can hear you. I have a set of the Sony wireless ones right now I paid $100.00 bucks for and I dont like them half the time no one can hear me the other half of time I'm charging them. Just my 2 cents.

Alright thanks you two. That's good enough for me. I'll just tell the wife their $100 bucks a set, get 2 sets and I'll be good to go for atleast 2 yrs.

I'm a little slow if y'all didn't already know that.

Now if I could just figure out how to partial quote and high light certain things in a quote on my phone.
 
After speaking with a few TRL members, I picked up the turtle beach dpx21 with dolby surround for $139. Fantastic and worth the extra $$. $99 on Amazon now I think
 
I got some Turtle Beaches on Amazon for ~$50 a couple months ago. They worked great when I first tested them. The second use, I started having issues with the sound getting really low on the left side. I'm lazy and didn't feel like taking the time to send them back and get new ones, so I dealt with it. They seem to be working a little bit better now, with the sound getting quiet only occasionally. I try to keep the wire and volume adjuster as still as possible to avoid further issues. Oddly enough, though, it's just the game sounds I tend to have issues with. I can hear fine in my left ear when people are chatting.

I'm not a turtle beach fan, all the ones I've run across either break or the mic sounds like garbage. I own the original 720s and love them to death! The sound is spectacular! I also own the Wireless Sony headset and like them too.

Practice tonight at 8:00pm est. for Tyro.
Saturday we will be racing all day starting at 2:00pm est.
 
Thanks for for the add Psycho :) I only rented GT5 a couple weeks ago & now I'm stuck on it. I've never raced online before, should be a hoot. Sign me up for Division A!

Are all the races going to be held in Turtle Town? I'm just going to run the Flex and maybe Tyro.
 
Good luck to everyone tonight.
Remember, don't over drive turn1 it'll kill your lap time and make it hard to set up for the S's.

I'd like to know as well if all races are going to be in TT, I will only be running Tyro.
