That Sonnett sounds pretty badass actually. That intake sound is glorious!

Have a soft spot for these things, though not particularly the Sonnet. I prefer the old 92s and 96s, they're kinda the quirky Saabs that the company is known for. Column gearchanges and a transmission freewheel that lets you change gear without the clutch, which is part of the reason drivers like Erik Carlsson became adept at left-foot braking.

It's strange that the Sonnet MK.1 is front mid engine, front wheel drive, but that makes it quirky. I'm sure the Sonnet is quite a blast to drive.

Radiator: Guessing it's a packaging thing. It's a FWD car with a longitudinal engine layout, which means the gearbox has to go behind the engine. The engine gets pushed forward and in a car with a relatively short front overhang like the 96, it leaves very little space for the engine. The rad will still get plenty of air going to it anyway so I can't see it being much of an issue. Just unusual!

As for revs, it's a 2-stroke so it doesn't need to turn that quickly. Probably no more than 5-6k rpm max. Think it only makes 40-50bhp stock. The rally cars had double that, though.
