I just did an hour of the 4 hour endurace roadster race at Tsukuba. My tyres died and I tried to pit, but just drive strait through, several times. Are there no pit stops in "short" endurace races or do I have a problem??

When you enter the pit lane on the "long" straight back, be sure to keep all the way to the right against the wall, and drive at about 120 km/h.

That will for sure make it pit. 👍

I'm driving into the pit lane and automatically slowing but not stopping.

How fast are you going?
And you need to almost hit the wall when entering.

Also, where do you enter the pits?

Is it here? (Red circle)

This is the problem:

This is the solution:

The pitlane entry is before the final corner. The pitlane is then separated from the track by a solid yellow line, a grass divider and then a solid yellow line again - and finally some cones. If you try to enter the pitlane somewhere that isn't the pitlane entry, you effectively get a drive-through penalty - you'll go through the pits on the limiter and be spat out without stopping.

I took those photos just for you, just now

It is a query that comes up every now and then though, so I think we'll be copy & pasting it a bit from now on :D

I finished the race. That is a ridiculous pit entrance, it's like it randomly throws you out. I would recommend practicing pit entry for a while before trying this or the 9 hour enduro at this track. Get it wrong and it throws you out the pit entry, across the track and into gravel. Costing lots of time. You need to keep speed at about 80 mph and take the corner, not easy on battered hard comforts. Thanks again to all for the tips

There's nothing like some visual aids to help sort it out! :D

I had that happen to me a couple of times, too, from excessive speed. A little understeer and poof!, the traction beam is gone for a second, and you have a drive-through for your troubles.

That reminds me... I never tried getting the Tank Car in that narrow pit lane...
