Tyre screech

[StuntmanRich]

Returned to GTS this morning after a bit of time playing other stuff and noticed there is no tyre screech. Has that always been the case? Sounds so strange.

Exit the game and start it again. Seems to be an issue with the latest update. I was wondering why I am missing when the car loses tracktion - seems when you can't feel the loss of grip with the butt, the next sense is the sound

Agreed, mine has been doing the same thing... not just tire audio, but seems like wind noise and road noise are gone too... leaving you with nothing but engine/trans... so odd... we are spoiled. .

Here is a question, how do you "exit" the game?
Only way I know how is to start a separate application, say, movie editor... then the console will prompt you something along the lines of "we'll have to close GT Sport to start the movie editor"...
So, how do you fully close GT Sport without starting something else?

Hold the PS button, select Close Application.

The sound issue is a known bug from 1.15 that PD is investigating. There is an in-game announcement about it...

[John Crellin]

Update 1.15 has turned this game in to total garbage. I love this game but holy hell it has become completely unplayable for me. Loss of sound is frustrating but now my liveries wont load, I get outrageous penalties for minor infractions and the quality of other players seems to have fallen off a cliff. I can't keep a clean lobby running and after climbing out of SR C earlier this week I can attest that the cleanliness of drivers is crap all the way up to SR 99. WTH has PD done to their game?

[KingFrog]

The entire game is bugged . The menu sounds are gone / sound effects are gone . The only thing that works is your engine noise and some opponents . I know PD will fix it but imagine this was the last update XD .

in the lobby till 1.16 to preserve dr/sr, opponents sound is missing in race too.
