Fantastic goalkeeping by Isaksson, especially on the 2-2. Well... Olof Mellberg has at least become something of a national hero during these 90 minutes. :lol:

I only saw the 2nd half but the jingles (It's another corner!) had me in stitches when they first played them :lol:
 
Wow, talk about one of the most exciting games of the tournament so far, I swear England make any team seem like Brazil. Sweden were not average atall though despite England's typical awful performance at the start of the 2nd half, didn't half get stuck in and pressure the hell out of us. Great goals by Walcott and Welbeck though, definitely good to see Ibrahimovic trudging off dejected as a result after his s**** attitude.

Hopefully this gave England a good wake up call for once.
 
So who noticed the Coldplay lyric reference at the end of the game? "Kiev was all yellow tonight but the stars they shone for England" :dopey:
 
Walcott's goal was overshadowed by the hilarity caused by Isaksson - never have I seen a more accurate representation of someone being shot.

Welbeck though had unbelievable tekkers on his goal though. :cool: Wonder how it'll go with Rooney at the helm now, though I don't know if Hodgson will get rid of Carroll or Welbeck.

Its not in the infield I think I'm safe :sly: I'll be interested to see how/if Hodgeson fits Rooney into the England setup really
 
Glad England won, but we all know Sweden played better and should have passed. ;)

I really want them to keep walcott, especially after that performance last night. Having a big body striker with a powerful foot, could be beneficial for England, but i'll leave it up to hodgson, because he picked The team, and guess what they scored.
 
I'd have a kind of diamond formation with Welbeck on his own upfront, Young and Walcott on the flanks with Rooney behind Welbeck. Stevie and Parker holding the middle. Same back four.
 
Would hodgson really keep the same back four, theyve conceded 3 goals in two games!, id bring jones in for johnson..
 
👍 Although to be fair he did play well after the own goal. Parker must improve also I feel, although England don't really have any other midfield options.
 
Two big games tonight then as group A draws to a close, whoever wins the games will go through..its been one of the best groups if you ask me...

Well i picked russia, but i also picked the czechs..so a mixed bag for me
 
Greece are through, and somehow Russia are not. Ridiculous upset, Russia should have done better. Good job by Greece though 👍

Well, that's the best game we played best out of the 3 and it really worth it :D
To be honest, I didn't expect we will go through to quarterfinals after fixture 2 results. Great performance, and this team is so unpredictable 👍

Greece beat Russia and progress, plus Russia are out? Wow indeed.


Not too bothered about the Czechs going through, although I wanted Poland to get a win against them earlier. I also missed both matches because I was too busy following the Le Mans coverage.
