The draw format will be:

1. Pot 1 teams in Group order
2. Pot 4 teams in Group order, plus position assignment
3. Pot 3 teams in Group order, plus position assignment
4. Pot 2 teams in Group order, plus position assignment

France are already in A1.

Being in Groups A, B, C & D is advantageous to pot 1 teams, as if they win their group as expected their 2nd round opponents are from the third-placed teams - how these teams will be decided for the second round once the four best are determined requires a very large and ludicrously complex table. Being in Groups A, B, C & F is advantageous to pot 2 teams, as if they place 2nd in their group as expected their 2nd round opponents are runners-up from other groups, not winners.

C1 looks to be the ideal place for a pot 1 team - third-place team for round 2 and first four matches in Lille twice and Paris twice, so no travelling...

It'll be interesting to see if this round 2 thing works or just confuses the hell out of the continent.

It's really very simple.

If the top four third-placed teams are from groups A, B, C & D, they'll play the winners of groups C, D, A & B. If they're from groups A, B, C & E, they'll play the winners of groups B, C, A & D. If it's A, B, C & F, they play the winners of B, C, A & D. ABDE will be BCAD, ABDF to BCAD, ABEF to BCAD, ACDE to CABD, ACDF to CABD, ACEF to BADC, ADEF to BADC, BCDE to CABD, BCDF to CABD, BCEF to CBAD, BDEF to CBAD and CDEF to ABDC.

Obviously.

It's one of those things where pundits should just say "They're playing this team" rather than explaining the whole shebang.

Ooof, Wales drawn out with England. Northern Ireland against Germany (it's as if it's loaded in Germany's favour or something).

Second bunch:
A3 Albania
B3 Wales
C4 Northern Ireland
D3 Turkey
E3 Republic of Ireland
F2 Iceland

They liked drawing position 3 out didn't they?

Not really in Spain's group, they have Croatia who have an abundance of good players and Turkey aren't easy opposition.

If it's any consolation, Das Team have a decent chance of reaching the KO stages and a possible tie with the runners-up in Group B, plus a guaranteed Austro-Hungarian derby.

So I'm doing a Man United save on Football Manager 2016 and on it England have won Euro 2016!, they beat Italy 1-0 in the final and beat Germany 3-0 in the semi, Milner got player of the tournament and Balotelli got the golden boot!

France, Belgium and Spain are my top picks to win the Tournament. But I can see England going quite far and then tripping up at the hurdles either in the Quarters or the Semis.

Wales oversubscribed on tickets

The FAW has received more than three times as many applications for Euro 2016 group matches than it has tickets. Wales have an allocation of 17,000 for their three group games but fans have applied for 52,160 tickets.

The article goes on:

Wales face Slovakia at Bordeaux's Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux, which holds 42,115.

But Lens' Stade Bollaert-Delelis, where Wales play England, and Toulouse' Stade Municipal, where they take on Russia, have capacities of around 38,000 and 33,150 respectively - the two smallest stadiums of the 10 used during Euro 2016.

Uefa, European football's governing body, has given the FAW an allocation of 7,000 tickets for the Slovakia game and 5,000 each for the England and Russia fixtures.

42,000 seater stadium: 7,000 tickets meaning 28,000 other seats assuming Slovakia have an equal allocation.
38,000 seater stadium: 5,000 tickets meaning 28,000 other seats assuming England have an equal allocation.
33,000 seater stadium: 5,000 tickets meaning 23,000 other seats assuming Russia have an equal allocation.

That's 17,000 tickets versus 79,000 other seats and that's including the opposition's tickets. However I doubt that England or Russia will have an equal allocation for those games.

What a jip! An allocation of 17,000 tickets is pathetic. That's less than half the capacity of the opening stadium and that's to sustain us for the entire group stage. Stick a few thousand for charities, sure, but I don't give a damn about commercial tickets and sponsorship tickets. They seem to be taking up an incredible majority of the allocated tickets. Up yours, UEFA.

That's UEFA in a nutshell, I remember the champions league final at Wembley where each team got about 24,000 tickets. That leaves about 40,000 corporate tickets.

That is not entirely true. A certain percentage goes into free sale, as in available for everyone.
