Also, I was expecting Croatia to play much better. Such a boring game.
 
I expect Fonte and Renato Sanchez to be suspended after the UEFA reviews the game. Both of them stomped on the legs of a Croatian laying on the ground. And both were clearly intentional. And both were not seen or penalised by the ref.

I didn't see Renato Sanches', but I noticed Fonte's stomping and definitely agree.

I can't understand why they do that stuff. Really disgraceful.

The director of the game didn't show a replay but our tv show did. And it was a dirty stomp. Even harder than Fonte's one.

Do yu have eny idea how hard it is to concentrate when typing on nights liek this?

I gave myself a headache when we scored and another headache when the final whistle went off because I was screaming so loudly.

Other than a couple of games I think the football's generally been a bit dull this tournament. Need some South American teams to spice it up a bit.
 
Hey, I never said we played well. Frankly, we played terribly. Northern Ireland had our tactics sussed and pressed us very well. But only one team from that fixture can go through to the quarters and I am obviously ecstatic. I hope Hungary destroy Belgium.

When the last match comes up on MOTD, I usually joke with the family that it's going to be a 0-0 stinker... which is sometimes unfair, but more often then not it's turgid compared to intriguing. Having said that, if ever a match deserved to be put under the bottom of the drawer and labelled "Exhibit A of 0-0 stinkers", Portugal-Croatia was that game...
 
Hopefully today will be a bit better, anything will be better that yesterday!
