So the World Rankings has been updated after the completion of the Euros and the Copa America, and once again its a bit of a joke, big news is that Wales are now 2 places above England who are 11th and 13th repectively, the top five stay the same, Argentina Belgium Colombia Germany and Chile in that order (that's right Belgium still second!) Portugal, who won the Euros whilst unbeaten only climb two places to 6th, France up to 7th climbing 10 places, Spain Brazil and Italy make up the rest of the top 10, Iceland up 12 places to 22nd.

I'm more surprised Argentina is still first. No way we deserve that spot. A 4th or 5th place would have been more proper if anything.

FIFA world rankings have always been a farce. The formula they use ignores important things like home field advantage, goal differential and stakes etc... and results in an inaccurate list that doesn't give you a full picture of world soccer.

The reasons the rankings are crap and never make sense is because they reflect three years' aggregate, not three weeks'.

Wales, we are still fighting against our 2013 40th-50th placings which are dragging our collective score down. On the other hand, we might not fall as far until 2019 when our current success is still pushing us up, should we suffer a slide in fortune.

None of this explains how Belgium are second though.

Still great to be above England in the rankings. Again. :D
