ah never a truer word said, oh btw welcome to the forums :D

AT - that quote is 100% accurate, you obviously edited your original after the event, its no use denying now :D

Hey, AT, another car with a roof made out of a bin bag? I have to say though, I love the SZ, the roof is black for a reason, I forget whether it is carbonfibre or composite though. Thought I'd post some cars off the old thread to really get things going.

Good man! I like the way the designer's pen slipped when he was drawing the Daihatsu Move's A-pillar. :D

DP - Edit my posts?! Actually I'm thinking of going back over all my posts and putting the word C**T across them in 6" letters! :P hehe

Hey cool quote, who said that? don't hate, anyway I know ur from New Zealand and its like the crappiest country in the world.... ur wierd.

Oh and btw welcome to the thread

oh and I vote for the badger, foxes aren't hard enough.

Check out the worst cars thread, a pretender to the throne, although I did get a little shirty with some yankee tosser who was dissin' my 5... you have to check out his homepage though, it is really the Trueno of homepages

I've actually test driven a Daihatsu Move. It's got some plus points...1st off,it's got bags of headroom and legroom being 6 ft 3 that's quite important.Secondly it has a fantastic turning rate,it can quite easily turn round in small streets where most other cars need to make a 3 point turn.
It's bad points....You can only use it's fantastic turning rate at very low speeds, thanx to it's high centre of gravity and high profile. It's just plain ugly, that picture doesn't show how bad it truly looks,a milk float is more aerodynamic.Lastly it's just an awful car to drive, the engine is rough and feels like it's been taken from a Ford Escort Mk. 3.You can also forget racing in 1 of these, thanx to it's bicycle wheels, poor aerodynamics and cheap small engine.
It's truly a bad car.

On the point of the Trueno, let me just add this quote from a different thread on this forum. It's by someone you might recognise and is shocking by it's content, you may be offended so read with caution...

OK, ferret and a squirrel? :D
squirrel, much cleverer and lots of cunning and guile - the ferret is truly a stupid animal, especially when stuffed down somebodys trousers. Oh and to keep it slightly on topic - the Trueno :D

Well at least the first half of mine was right! :D

'Keep it slightly on topic' - cheeky sod! Have that:

Why buy an Allegro or a Trueno when you can have a GSA? BTW I got the quote of the old forum, forget who, I'll have a look in a bit.

That quote was in group of quotes compiled by g.money. No idea who said it first though, as for the cars, that Pug is pretty nasty but still can't beat the Allegro. Better luck next time :D

Yeah, are they XR2 alloys? We must be talking Ford running gear, kitcar territory...

Here's another gem from the same site! She seems to be very proud of her 'Caterham meets Panzer' yellow monstrosity...

Is it plastic... isn't it plastic... is it plastic... isn't it plastic... mmm... :D

Well, I'll admit it, I voted for it too! You know the design team got it wrong when it's more aerodynamic in reverse than going forward!! And let's not forget that wonder of interior styling, the square steering wheel.

And the godawful Vanden Plas model, the singular most powerful argument against chrome on cars!

Yeah they are XR2/Orion Ghia pepperpot alloys, and the car is, as far as I know, done by a place called Bannem Motors, they also do a Porsche Roadster look-a-like based on a Skoda Estelle, and a RS200 look alike from a Sierra base...

OK, many people think the Alfa SZ is ugly. I think they're missing the point. It's the ugliness which is stunning - It is absolutely beautiful. My 1p's worth anyway. :)

That was bloody sensible coming from me!

I always wanted an Alfa SZ when I was a kid. Maybe it was the rarity value, maybe it was that gorgeous yellow they came in, maybe it was the sextuplet headlights, or the fact it looked so tough that all cars would get out of it's way, I dunno, but whatever it was I wanted one!

Could you imagine ringing the insurance company for a quote:

SALESPERSON: So what model is it?
WOMAN: Well it's not a specific model as such
SALESPERSON:embarrassed:h, a kit car?
WOMAN: Not quite
SALESPERSON: How do you mean?
WOMAN: Well we let my grandkid build it, he's two. He used his lego, and sticky back vinyl like they do on Blue Peter. And we used yellow, cos all sporty cars are yellow aren't they!!
