Enzo 👎, Maserati MC12 👍

Also, SLR McLaren 👎

See an Enzo in person, and your opinion on that will change. Nothing looks remotely close to an Enzo, and it has all these little touches all over the car that make it one of a kind. And trust me, it looks VERY sleek in real life, just looking at pictures of it doesn't do it justice.

But as for the Gallardo, it looks ok, but I don't like it because all it is is a shortened Murcielago. The Murcielago is one of the best looking cars currently being made in my opinion, and the Gallardo is it's slightly smaller, and slightly uglier twin. It's just a matter of comparison.

And the Maserati MC12 is about the closest a road car will get to a Le Mans racer in terms of looks (and possibly performance, but we will have to wait and see).

ugly Well this car is the ugliest in my opinion Just look at the beast :yuck: . Oh ya, forgot to mention the name, its a 1970 ford king cobra. And I'm gonna have to disagree with your opinions on the gallardo up close its much more nicer looking, its just some angles are bad for that car, but its a beautiful car in real life.

What the fu** are you guys smoking? Have you ever seen a Gallardo in person? It definetly is not ugly.

I've seen four or five in person, on the road, and they don't get any prettier.

ENZO: One of the all time greatest designs!

I don't even know where to begin...

First, the Aston Martin Lagonda is considered a collector's car because it was one of the most technologically advances cars in the world, and one of the fastest 4-doors in the world, with power rivaling the Maserati Quattroporte. It was also one of the most aerodynamic cars of the time. It was the ultimate in wedge design for it's time. Far from ugly 👎

Second, the power bulge on the Aston Martin V8 Zagato was needed to house the 6.3L V8 that made the car capable of 200mph. Pure function over form, who cares how it looks 👎

Third, it's a DeTomaso Mangusta, sold in America as the Qvale Mangusta.

Fourth, that's a Pontiac Sunfire, not a Chevrolet Cavalier.

Fifth, it's a Scion bX or Toyota bB, but not a Toyota Scion. And Nissan is bringing the Cube to America, so I'm glad. 👍

As for an ugly car, I nominate the Lister Storm road car...although the race car isn't a pretty picture either, but again, that's pure function over form.

The359: An ugly car doesn't mean a bad car, I think we all agree on that. But that's not the point of this thread.

OK the Scion xB is pretty ugly, but my old man loves the delivery-truck space inside. When Roadie (the Roadmaster) finally breaks down, she's going to go on 'disability' until I can get my hands on a drivers liscence (about 2 years from now). Then i'll bring her up to speed by popping in a new or rebuilt LT1. As for ugliness:

Oh dear! What is that....thing?

The359: Yes! The Lister Storm is an absolutely hideous car and definately warrants a place in here. Let me find a suitably awful pic of it.

Hey! Wanna know a good joke? Well, let me get straight to the punchline...

Here's a tip for all you budding young automotive designers out there. When designing a car, try not to make it look like it's just been driven into a lamp post at 40mph! Someone obviously forgot to tell that to the Morgan Aero 8 designer.

Crash, bang, wallop, what a picture!

I did see a Enzo in person and I agree with you that it's definetly sleek but it's still an ugly car in my opinion, especially for a Ferrari (though the F50 isn't that pretty either).

I completly agree about the Lambos though. The Gallardo is quite a good looking car in its own right but it doesn't come close to the Murcielago's aesthetic pureness.

The multipla has gone from butt-rash, vomit inducing fugly to just plain fugly.

And don't get me started on the F-50 argument. I think it's the best looking car to ever come out of the Modena factory. But I guess it's just a love it or hate it type thing.

But, while looking for pics of the 2006 Esprit (ugliest rear end for a car, ever), I came across this monstrosity. The Lotus Extreme concept.

But it's full ugliness is realised only from the rear...

I preffered the old Multipla. Sure it was ugly, but it was a fun looking car. Better than the stade shobox that it's turned into. I guess the majority of people have very conservative taste though. It's a shame that you can't be too brave if you want to make money in the car industry. At least companies like BMW and Renault are trying.

Wow! That Lotus concept is phenomenol! Amazing looking car!

The headlights on the new multipla looks like they came from a mitsubishi evo 7.

ok, enough torture for now.

I actually like the TR-4 and the TR-6. All the 3's look a little agricultural.
The TR 7 and the TR-8 are doorstops thank you very much.
Though the TR-8 does actually have some collector value. The 7 is classified as unrestorable.

And who would want to restore one? 'Agricultural' - great phrase! I must remember to use that more often in conversation.

I'm sure there are more Rolls-Royces and Bentleys per capita in Hong Kong than anywhere else in the world. But it is no suprise to me that I haven't had the misfortune of seeing one of these barges...Eugh!

From the makers of the Maybach comes:

I wanna be a Rolls-Royce Phantom

Also, the Multipla's nose looks like a cross between a previous-gen Honda Accord ('97-'02) and a Chevrolet Aveo.

Blech? I think not:

From left to right, in order: 2000-2002 Monte Carlo Winston Cup, 2005 Monte Carlo SS, 2003-2004 Monte Carlo Nextel Cup
Whether in street or track form, the Monte Carlo is gorgeous 👍

From the front perhaps.
From the back it looks like they just got tired of designing the car and swatted it in the backside with an axe.

Fact for you to ponder:

They designed the street car around the stock car 👍

If you check the otherside of the ugly-specturm thread ('post gorgeous car pics) take a look at the rear window and quarter panel. The Monte Carlo is the street car that best matches its Nextel-cup counterpart. (Thanks for the common template, Brain France 🤬 )

So, The painted on headlights and body of the stock car match it? Still doesn't qualify as good looking, and I don't see how looking like a NASCAR car makes it un-ugly.

Some of you guys are quite harsh, but remember it is his/her own opinion. If you dont agree, simply state why. We dont want this to turn out to a huge arguement just to remind you guys. With that said I want to bring something to a discussion.

Lets look back at the 300zx, I dont think the styling is even close to the 350z. Although I have to agree that there are some really good looking 300zx but stock for stock I dont find the 300zx so appealing. The styling of the 300zx isnt all that bad, Im not saying the 300zx is hideous or ugly. I actually think it look alright but I will have to give 350z the point as far as styling goes.

It seem pretty even.

As for 350z with kits, well there isnt alot of good looking kit but that one shown looks good.

Gallardo isnt that ugly.

Rollazn's just reminded me that the gorgeous 300ZX was similar to it's little brother, the 350Z, in the way that it never looked good with an aftermarket bodykit.
