A Mk2 Escort is an old car. Maybe it's broken. Have you tried something newer?

We're going to need more information. What game? What system? What controller? Have you calibrated it? Does it rev when you press throttle? Does it change gear?

I have tried multiple times to start a rally but my car, the Mk2 Escort, just sits there.

Perhaps a more descriptive title would help.

Have you checked your shifter settings? I had that happen yesterday when switching between sequential and H-pattern: you can't use both whenever you like, you need to set just one to be active in the options (at least in DR2).

I am on PS4 Pro, using a controller. I set the shift pattern to sequential manual. When that didn’t work I reset everything to default but still no good. It was 2.08am here in NZ when I posted and after over an hour of messing with it I thought it time to turn in. I’m off to work soon but my plan is to delete the save and have another go this evening, probably a good idea to try a different car too.
My motivation behind posting was not to rag on the game, but to see if anyone else was having the same problem. I figure more than likely that it is user error on my part, i’ve probably messed with something or other in the settings and upset things.

Edit: tried again before leaving work, yep, user error, all is ok.
