I'm still getting to know this Xbox One system, so where do you get below the surface to see this? Anyway, I just wrapped up 20 hours of download / installing, it better not say 0 MB here. :crazy:

Look in 'MyGames and Apps' window, there you can see your games, apps and queues. Select Forza 6 and see if the install started.
 
11 hrs till release over here... Working for another 3 hrs, hopefully I'll be home and in bed by midnight and I'll set my alarm for 6:30.
 
I finish work at 9pm, those 2 hours after I finish will drag on and then I have to be on a plane to go to Melbourne at 6am Friday. Won't get much game time till next week

Anndddd.... Its 12:40 over here and I'm still at work.

New plan, hopefully be in bed by 2am, wake up at 10am, play for an hour and a half, go to work, tell the morning crew how to do there job, go back home and play for another 2 hours, go back to work.

I wish I didn't agree to cover for the night guy for a week.

1:28 am now, still working :|

It's unfortunate, but I imagine the logistics of getting it to everybody at their own respective midnights would've been a nightmare. Perhaps bumping the UTC time forward a couple hours would've helped, but I think there's always bound to be at least one group unhappy with this sort of approach. It's just how it is. :-/

Finishing work at 2:30 here would have been perfect if I didn't need to pay my bank a visit immediately after clocking out today.

Wait a second... I am quite sure I preinstalled Forza, why does it say 0 MB? Oh hell no.

When I preorder a game I expect it to preload without any effort on my part. Nice job, MS.

Oh man, I saw that my FM6 took like 1 day or 2 days to download all, and now it also shows 0gb on my console.
What is going on?

EDIT: I followed the advise of a user on the official forum and now it shows 45,8 gb!

I turned off the console a couple of times, one of which I completely shut it off and disconnected the cable for 30 seconds.

Not that I have seen yet but EVERY game released always has a day 1 update. So I set my X1 to "Instant On" this morning in hopes it would automatically dl this update by the time I get home tonight. If it is not ready by tonight its no big deal. I have plenty of other games to play while it re-downloads or works itself out. Plus I have tomorrow off paid. ;)

What size is the update?

No idea, it automatically updated; only reason I know is because of the asterisk on the tile.

EDIT- checked my bandwidth usage and had a download around 2-3 am that was 6 GB.

Yeah, additional will my patch/update just do itself once my preload is done?

And r.e. the server thing, this always bugs me, they should know precisely how many pre-orders they have for this digital pre-release, and make it so the system can run that amount. But then all companies are guilty of this now, so what's the point even asking lol

Should we expect the servers to hold up once everyone tries to get in at the exact same time? I can already hear the "Where's my Ford GT???" uproar. :P

The early access thing should hopefully reduce the likelihood of this happening, hopefully. Only time will tell, but I am sure the people who bought the ultimate edition are in a minority. Though I could be wrong, and half the population of Forza could have bought the ultimate edition.
 
Xbox One requires up to date patches in order to play the game. In fact when you install the game the first thing it does is download the patch to install it.

If it hasn't by now I wouldn't depend on it happening in the next hour. However you need to have it so you're xbox can go into standby mode instead of completely turning off. While in standby mode it will automatically download patches that is pushed down to your Xbox One.

It's not that easy. They'll surely have their network configured in a way they think will handle the load of all these people connecting at once. However... There's a lot of difference between thinking and knowing, and the only way to know for sure is to properly stress the network.

Gah, I'm at 25% now. So much for playing the game early, huh?

You might be able to start as soon as it shows 40% installed.

Edit: damn phone again.
