I need a car for the Beginner - European Classic Car Championship. It needs to be European and between 1960-1979. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can find a lot of cars in the used car diler... the e-type jag will do the job just fine ;)

yeah but there are none in the used car dealer. and the only one i can buy is a ferrari which is only 100,000 :grumpy:

The AC Cobra stock works very well for B-Spec Bob. It is also a B-Spec prize car so it is free but in a higher level race.

I used a Lotus Europa Special in A-Spec which I picked up from the used car dealer.

Edit: Now that I think about it I used the Cobra for the World Classic event. Not sure what I used for the B-Spec European race as I did not have the Cobra yet. I think the AC Cobra should qualify though and if so will smoke em easy enough.

Looks like I had to dish out my credits and spend 100,000 on a Ferrari 512BB.

You could have waited for an E-Type, which I personally like more, but after fixing it up, it wouldn't have been much cheaper. Plus you can use the 512BB in other events too, and it's quite fun to drive.

I wouldn't sweat the cost too much, it's a cool car.

Yeah. Plus I can use it in the Italian Festival in the Amateur Series. Perfect.

I used a well used Lotus Elan (1962) for that and other races. It tunes up well and sticks to the track like glue. Plus you get the over 300,000K trophy. 👍 They show up on the used car lot pretty often.

Don't forget that you can go the the event and look at a list of cars that you'll be racing - that might give you some ideas :D

I think I used a tuned up BMW 2002 turbo I picked up from the used shop for that one. One of the best cars I got cause I could use it for like 2-3 different races.

I found an Alfo Romeo Spider 1600 Duetto in the used dealership and used that. Granted, I had to do quite a bit to it so it could keep up but it's a pretty fun car.

I had no luck at finding the right car in the used dealer. 2 different lists and found nothing.

I've gotten into the habit of looking at the used cars after every race. You get 6 new ones every time (so I guess you could actually look in every 4-5 races. Meh, it doesn't take long to look.). I look ahead at the races coming up and if I see a car that will fit I buy it then and set it aside until I need it.
