If you are a dragger, Dodge Viper SRT10 '03!!! Its only in the UCD available for like 75k and its really fast! 1006 hp 1250ish KG very underrated DRAG car (its terrible for road courses :P)

Mercedes CLK 55 AMG, it is a fun car to drive when you turn the driving aids off, it gets sideways easily through the corners and is easy to control and doesn't spin the wheels when you accelerate out of the turns. It only spins the wheels in first gear, over all a fun car to drive

Nissan 350-8 GT Sedan '02; once you understand the 8 speed transmission, those cars can drift like a dream.

Audi rs6 avant ( the premium one)

It's a beast

I hate to use this image but it's necessary.

I had my RS6 at 920BHP before the 24th when the game was released for the rest of you others.
Those where the good times when people actually got a "What the" reaction from sleeper cars.
Now every driver has read some thread about "what is the best car" and that kinda ruined the fun in online.
Kinda how boring GT5P was when people where using Clio V6 and Honda S2000 after the PP glitch was discovered.

Ecchi-BANZAII!!

Hahah!
And it was my second car ever in gt5, I just loved it.

My first was an used Infinity because back then I didn't know that I should've bought a car for 19k and then buy the chip tune.:indiff:
It was more fun to learn the things on my own than to browse GTP and get spammed by "best settings for X car" threads.
Oh and the Seasonals have spoiled people with about 700-1300%~ more credit and EXP compared to the old timers.

Stock Lotus Evora ... Specs aren't impressive at all (282 bhp, 1330 kg), but it is extremely fast, even with Bob behind the wheel.

My first was an '07 Suzuki swift from the NCD, its a great car to start out with.
And it's only like 16,700 cr
And I agree, it used to be really hard to make money, I would go weeks of saving just to buy a gallardo or 430 scuderia lol

Making money like the old timers??? I've been playing since the start and I can honestly say money has been a little hard to come by, without cheating... that being said I also know most original players would do the money glitches where you drive through the wall and do 4 second laps... I used that trick just once and made 4 million in 5 minutes. I felt dirty afterward and used all the money on engine rebuilds and car washes

I was intrigued to find out that a slightly tweeked version of my gt4 element tune works on gt5 drifts pretty good.

Quick note I quoted the wrong guy sorry... anyway.
A car that is a sleeper is the gtr tokyo motorshow concept car... it only has 775hp but it is around 1200kg with awd and 7 gears. This car is hard to find and it cost nearly a million dollars so I wouldn't expect everyone to be able to pull it out. I haven't read the entire thread but I think the car every new player should get a supra rz... max hp is 725 with low low milage but this car can easily go over 230mph.

Another car I would point out is the Mustang GT 05, this is one of my favorite muscle cars, with 739hp this is the first car I pull out in the muscle drag rooms. It will get beat by charger 440 r/t and vettes and cobras, but almost every camaro gets eaten alive by it...and I'm a chevy guy lol

You can also get this car from the NCD I'm sure.

Daihatsu OFC-1. Don't give it a new exhaust or new turbo or new gearbox. Give it everything else. It's just fantastic to drive, and very quick compared to other cars in the 400pp range.

Similarly, the Suzuki Swift '05. More torque than you might think, goes like a stabbed rat, corners like a house fly, just brilliant, especially when tuned.

I thought you mean't sleeper as in sleeper cab (i.e. you can sleep in it), damn, I need a cup of coffee

For 550pp nurb.

Vauxhall? Monaro CV8 :
(or something) big australian or canadian ? opel with corvette engine :)
great M5 alternative. it needs to be driven in a FLOW of light slides. (not recommanded with tire wear on offcource :p)

Or the Lotus Espirit Sport 350:
Its competition for Nsx and Csl but this car is unforgiving if u go over the limit . its all or nothing and that makes it fun. lighten the Lsd settings.

Other pp's fun underdogs are:
Z4M
Skyline GTR 89?(older one before the R32) still light and rearwheeldrive :)
For not so bendy tracks try any high hp muscle car its a battle of you vs BigLumpOffMetal.
Dodge charger (or challenger?)Hemi super bee is fun and pretty.

Maserati Gran Turismo S '08. Lovely to drive as stock and a beast when fully tuned and slimmed.

Lexus GS300 maybe. Surprised a few people online, one couldn't believe his "ruf got smoked by an old lexus"
