  • Have confidence in your own entry, don't vote for yourself.

I decided to vote for the top one - just cause I have a few shots that are very similar to that. It takes some decent timing for those sometimes. lol

NTX
If I´m seeing right, we are tied again 👍
I see 9-9, of course I voted for your shot and you didn't vote. So either your vote was automatically added to my total, or my vote was thrown out since you didn't vote.

BTW- my vote had nothing to do with the sense of fair play, I really thought NTX had the better shot or I wouldn't have voted either.
NTX's shot had a better sense of motion, smoother motion blur, and crisper cars.

On the other hand, my shot had a higher level of difficulty (and an extra car), and a wider field of depth (more background). I tried to re-shoot that shot dozens of times, trying to get the 3rd car a little closer to the other 2, so I could zoom-in more on the cars.

If the win stands, I'll send a theme probably tonight after work, (that's tomorrow morning for all you daywalkers)

Nop. In the case of a tie in the tie breaker, the vote of the theme chooser can break the tie, or, in other words, it adds 2 votes.

When the theme chooser doesn’t vote, it’s up to the host to break the tie.
Normally the host only votes to break the tie. But in case the tie was set after he votes, the host can remove his vote, so, without my vote, GrumpEone wins.

In a tie breaker battle between the host and another person, if it ends in a tie again and without the theme chooser vote on either side, the other person wins automatically, or in other words, the host loses automatically, whether he voted or not.

Note: This are rules I set for the competitions I am running, and the ones I find more fairness. Other hosts are entitled to their own rules.

I saw that Grumpeone voted on mine, so he wins of course. In this cases when Tie-Break happens I usually don´t vote...but this time I have completely forgotten (which is almost the same thing LOL)

👍 NTX

Thanks for the explanation, and that seems to be a good way to avoid the possibility of a multitude of tie-breaks.

Theme sent.
