Working at 100 because he's "bored"?! Someone needs to find this guy a hobby.

Working is his hobby, duh. Yodel @ Francis Griffin.

I'd say finding a new job is his hobby - my impression from the article is that he has quite a few trades under his old belt.

He doesn't look a day over homeless.

Edit: Reference number 8 claims his oldest son is 86... unless my math skills are a bit off, he would've been 14 at the time.

He met his future wife, Iriana, at the age of 13 (she was 12). They married a year later in France; the couple stayed together for 35 years, and had 17 children together.

:D

If anyone can survive that long in South London, they must be doing something right...

Just because he married a girl at 13, doesn't mean kids are required!

That's just strange if you think about it.

Hey it's France, what can't you do? :p Rather impressive guy there though, but working on your 100th birthday!? That's bigger than your 18th!!

He seems to only look in his 70s. Good for him.

fighting against three youths at the age of 100? this guy must have been a kung fu monk at some time, too.

He probabl;y earns more money working than he would on a pension.

But married at 13? Wow.

He married at 14, but that's irrelevant. It was a lot more common for people to marry so young and have 17 kids. We look at those two stats now and go 'whoa' but that wasn't unheard of at all long ago.

I'm shocked that he refused to take off of work on his 100th birthday.. I never work birthdays and I'm only 17.

17 kids is still alot, no matter what time you're lookin at.

14 isn't much younger than you can legally do so already (16 with parental consent) but even 16 is exceptionally young IMO.

Were the 17 kids all to the same wife? They must have just been falling out by number 10.

Ewwww... Cheers Brad.

Interesting name as well.

Mad props to the English.

All America would do is get "The Fatest 100 year old Man!"

I never work birthdays and I'm only 17.

👍 to that!
I moved countries so I could find one that has a national holiday on my birthday, thus guaranteeing I'll never have to work that day! :D :sly:
