The Sentinel was a good Spectrum game - but it was no Chuckie Egg!

Actually, when i think about it, The Great Escape was probably my favourite Speccy game.

Chuckie Egg is a true classic.

That sure as hell depends.... ;)

Since I'm (probably) older than most of you - I've (probably) played a bunch of games, and enjoyed them, that you've never heard about..

How 'bout : "Nemesis the Warlock" for the C64 ?.... That game was seriously entertaining - and F* HARD !... I don't think me and my friend Martin made it past level 19 even though we made maps of each level....

Lode Runner. Used to play it on the Apple ][, again, like the Sentinel, old but not unknown. Of course, none of the new Lode Runners were anywhere near as good as the original.

Cloud Kingdoms, PC XT / AT. Not that it was a terrific game, but it stood out as a game that when you finished it, nothing happened. No bonuses, no ending screen... nothing. So I ended up hacking the map codes (all in wonderful hexadecimal) to create my own maps.

I bought this PS2 game at Kohl's of all places for $10. It's called Super Truck racing its basically the professional Semi-Truck racing game. It's actually pretty fun for only bein ten bucks. Oh it's got damage. :mischievous:

Aww... ****! Jade Cocoon was awesome!. Too bad it was relatively obscure compared to the competition. It's about the only "pocket monster" style video game I ever liked!

I used to love Lode Runner. It was pretty popular game in out neighborhoods though.

My picks:

NES/Famicom

Dough Boy

Silent Service

That's all I can remember for now.

Soldier of Fortune. I played it on PS2. That game just didnt get recognized. It was extremely gory. You could blow soldiers heads, arms, legs off and shoot their bodies until it exploded. The enemies would scream in and cry in absolute horror. At times it was almost stomach wrenching how real their screams seemed. It was also a very very long game. For its time it was the best FPS out there especially if you like gory games.
If necessary mabey I could get this game out and take some video of it. This was basically a very early version of the game currently known as F.E.A.R.

^Must Vigorously Agree!

It was very underrated.

I gotta bust that game out... This F.E.A.R. obsession is killing me. :indif:

SOF and SOF2 absolutely ROCKED on the PC...

ICO. It may be well known on the net, but no one knows about it in real life.

ICO is great. And so is Boogerman. !!! 👍

dont forget about shadowgate, that is the most insane puzzle game for the NES ive ever failed at beating!

What was the name of the game for NES where the entire game was puzzles? You had to push rocks and do different things like that to get to the next level. I cant remember that game but it was really really good. Some of the levels really required some thought to beat. It was all from a top view.
You could also push some egg into the water to walk across it. Hmm

A computer game called 'STUNTS'. Where you race cars and you can even create your own tracks, do jumps with a diablo look a like..all kinds of fun.

Do you mean Stuntman?
If so....

Man, I LOVED that stunt mode, just spending hours making loop-de-loops and launching cars ranging from a Fiat 500 look-alike to a friggin monster truck pwned. :dopey:

AHA! I rememberd. It was called The Adventures of LOLO. Anyone ever play that? :sly:

Not unknown I think, but quite old. H.E.R.O. was my favorite game on the Atari. And Jade Cocoon was the first RPG I played (and finished). I think it was the last game I played on PSOne, soon after finishing it I bought the PS2.

When my sister and I were younger we used to play a game on PC called Eco Island. You just went around cleaning up some island. I can't really remember it very well, but I found it so fun.

Yes that game was badass! Was it wrong to laugh when you hear other people scream in pain?

How about IQ (or IQubed?) for PS1. I had it on a demo disc (Interactive Demo Disc #4! :dopey: ), it was badass. You were a guy on a giant rectangle of cubes, and you had to last as long as you could without blowing yourself up/falling off of the rectangle or something to that effect. :odd: The longer you lasted, the higher your "IQ" was at the end. It was wicked. I only ever played the demo though. :(

And from the same demo disc, there was a game called Raystorm. It was a 3D space shooter. In the demo you were flying through space fighting a bunch of enemies, and destroying huge ships in the background as well. You chose one of 2 ships, and it was co-op, even the demo! Again, I only played the demo of this game as well.

Anyone ever play either one?
