details on the upcoming DLC:

http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/products/gt5/dlc/

my opinion is....wtf?!?!?

Yes, I get it, Spa is awesome. But the other track is a Kart track? Where's Motegi, El Capitan, Grand Canyon, etc.

Cars DLC....ugh I won't even bother. A f&%@*ing RM Prius? I'm sorry but there are 0 new cars. There's just touring versions of cars already in the game...

come on PD...

i was hoping for legacy tracks.

seattle, citta, r11.... thats it.

We should really stop to expect new good things from PD! It started years ago when they announced GT5. From there on, Gran Turismo became only one big disappointment! Sadly....:(

The only Problem is, the PS3 don't have any other realistic racing game that can keep up with GT5. There are simply no real competitors for GT5 on the PS3!

Hope the next DLC will bring us some "real" new cars the fans were waiting for.... (if there will be one in the near future...if!)

Shouldn't turn 10 employees be watching sales charts tonight as sales rack up from all the midnight launches because of all the millions of people who pre-ordered their game?..........Oh wait. Were they even ON the pre-order charts?

Lol 2€ for 100 paint´s? Thats a bummer.
3 skylines out of 15 RM...
And spa for 5€.
I must say that I had expected much more. But Ok I can live with it 11€ is Ok for everything but still expensive.

Why do we get paints and racing gear? Lol PD come one.

Is the Kart Space I/II the Rainbowroad?

I'll take Spa and they can keep the rest.

haha, seems like it, yes!

Some people actually like added content, and that's 4 added Skylines.
To everyone else: NO ONE'S FORCING YOU TO BUY THE DLC. Make a choice, I'm sure you all can... I for one am very happy with the new DLC. Where's all the whiners who wanted Spa? Complaining about something else now, too. Wait for the next DLC, cause you forget that Spec 2.0 is 1GB big which must take a lot of development. This DLC (minus tracks) must have been relatively easy so they could focus more on Spec 2.0. Jeez, calm down folks.

I think legacy tracks are coming but free because they are not premium like spa. I hope new tracks are INTEGRATED to single player events also.

Massive disappointment to be honest.

Track Pack - I was expecting a track pack with 4 or 5 old favourites like Seattle, Paris, El Capitan, Twin Ring Motegi etc. Instead we get Spa which I can already drive on F1 2010, F1 2011, NFS Shift and Shift 2 Unleashed, major disappointment, in fact it's a huge let down.

Car Pack - Utter crap, re-skinned versions of cars already in the game, in fact racing modification for some cars is already in the game, this should be a free update, they're basically RM cars they left out the game. Re-skinned X2010 now called an X2011, lame. 3 karts, last time I checked karts were already in the game, tweaking their stats and changing the name slightly doesn't make it new. I was expecting real and totally new cars, this is just a rip off.

Gear Pack - We shouldn't really be asked to pay for this trivial stuff even though the price is peanuts.

Paint Pack - **** off!

Apart from Spa the DLC is crap, the only way it could have been any further away from my expectations is if there was no DLC at all. PD are taking the piss.

There is The Stig Helmet too? in dlc simpson helmet?

happy with spa (if there will be some singleplayer-races with it), but with nothing else....

yeah the dlcs are verry boring... 15 touring cars ok spa is cool but the kart tracks 👎 paints&gear also 👎

crappy dlc

i dont buy that

by the way why its called racing car pack? that are touring cars... why then not "touring car pack"?

Did you even look at the cart track? I can't wait to get with my evo in there!

The paints are crap? LOL please look at the new color categories they included!

I wanted more but it is what it is and given the price I'm happy. It's not a lot of money; literally pocket change. It would be nice for them to add some new dlc in the future though.

Like a classic GT track pack with the old tracks in.

My thoughts on the dlc:

Spa - awesome!
The cart track, I was meh when I read it but when I saw it I kinda liked it. My OH wants to race it so it did something right.

Car Pack
They may be race mods of existing cars but they are varied and there are a fair few I'd like in my garage so happy with those. New cars; including production models would be nice in another pack though.

The others
I'm not bothered about racing suits and helmets. Paint jobs... Again not bothered about those either. But some people might like them.

I agree, only I'm going to use the race car Miata on that track. Perfect because it's a Miata and a convertible lol

I was thrown off when I saw that it was only 2 tracks, but it doesn't bother me as much as I would have thought. That kart track looks fun and Spa is great. The color's are awesome, but I'm a bit upset about the suits. I mean, where's the HANS device? lol I didn't think they would seriously make suits DLC. I'll take it though, it's not like it's at all expensive.

Stig suit for those who've been wanting it.

Haha I dont think that you can race with the evo there... the straights are 20 meters long... Seems like you never went to an real kart track?

@Topic

Yeah, I really expected much from the DLC. Not from Spec II but from DLC I expected at least 50 NEW premium cars...

Spa is outstanding! A dream comes true! really!

But the rest feels like an late april joke...

EDIT: The paint colors look not bad at least, even though I did not even painted 1 car in GT5... But an question, is each paint chip only 1 time usable and if we used all chips, we should pay one more time for the DLC??

Lads... we get Spa, thats awesome.

As for the cars, I agree thats not a good effort for now. However, we don't know what they have in the pipeline and now we have started down the road of DLC who knows where it will end up, Im pretty hopeful for now.

The great news here is that we all could have SPA.

And the rest, while not great, is good.

And it´s only the first batch of DLC. Of course there´s going to be a "supercar pack" and a "legacy tracks" DLC.

Couldn`t you people wait?

It has begun. And what we have is not expensive. The rest will come in time...

STOP Complaining about everything !

It's pretty commong for people to use FR or AWD in cart tracks, it takes so precise driving and can be really fun!

Keep on believing :D

Next DLC will come end of 2012 if they keep on working with the usual PD speed...

Hmm lets see... I dont know, never tried it but can we choose an kart track in GT5 for normal cars? Never noticed this.

the most sad thing is the price for me. If you see what DICE (for BadCompany2)or some other developers are/were doing, by not charging you at all for DLC's, this here is heavily overpriced.

Sorry, but I simply can't stop to fuss about PD today....:grumpy:

For me the most dissapointing feature is the interior view of he standard cars.

Complete and utter waste of time. Beyond belief that pd/Sony would allow such poor visuals in such a highly regarded franchise.

And before the fan boys come and start defending this shocking feature.... You might want to take a chill pill and start thinking rationally. Had forza been released with such shocking interior visuals 100% of you fan boys would be laughing your asses off.

The least pd shouldve done was upgrade some (if not all) of the standard cars to premium models. The game was just fine in first person view. This new view just degrades the game. In my opinion.

I'm a fan and as I fan I can express both positive and negative views

Hey Guys and Girls,

Happy with the DLC that I've read about and currently downloading Version 2.0 (which I have a feeling I'll be more than happy with.)

Quick question though...as we're getting Spa in this DLC do we get any actual events?
I mean I'm thinking of the Spa 24hours here. Anyone thinking the same?
Anyone know of any new events that may be included in it?

Cheers
Liamsles

Not sure if this has already been posted but the three Karts in the DLC are available in the arcade car line up, haven't tried them though..

You can have one track or 15 tracks, is how you use them that's the key. We have around 50 A-spec events (shift 2 had 60 events just for pre ordering, and hundreds more in the game) in total (not including seasonal events). Each dlc (or current) track should have a whole section to itself, endurance, Sprints, time trials, series etc. I can imagine you will download the track, and then nothing else exclusive to it.

There only so much hotlapping and online you can do.

Spa is awesome of course.
The Kart track looks cool as well, but in a totally different way. It will be interesting to drive indoors. If cars other than the karts can race there I imagine some interesting events can take place there. Like a one-make tank car carnage... or why not a Kei car cup. Remains to be seen what the "5 variations" mean, if it's 4 versions of the kart track and one Spa, then it's kind of bad that they didn't say so...

Edit: And as the above post said, it's important to have events for these tracks.

The new touring cars, if they are somewhat equal in performance I think they can be nice to base a racing league on them. Some of the cars looks quite cool as well, am I the only fan of the CR-Z and the Prius???

Karts, they are alright I suppose. Never seen much kart events online so I don't know if I will use them that much. The junior kart has a cool design though, looks like the ones you can drive on amusement parks.

New racing gear pack... most designs looks quite weird. Alright, perhaps it can be cool to drive the Kubelwagen in camo outfit, but it could also be interpreted as being a Nazi... I actually like some of the new helmet designs, the Safari ones and the Gran Turismo helmet. I guess the Stig outfit is kinda cool as well, will be nice to have a B-spec driver with that outfit.
WRC outfits are nice as well.

Colour pack. I don't kno ho they work, but if it's just one paint chip of each colour and still no preview of how the car will actually look in that colour it's kinda bad. I imagine the restart button will be used quite a lot...

It's 4 variations of the kart track one with the hairpin, one without, and forward and reverse on each.
