Well I managed to watch TGAU earlier today and after all the 50+minutes watching it I was really left disappointed. All that anticipation was for nothing..... 👎 Not to say the show was bad, but as I said earlier this is nothing like original TGUK. The contents of the show was good, especially the Porsche 911 S PDK review, and the soft roader test was not that bad, but I think the news section was a little dull. They tried to make jokes about it and I was watching there and just can't understand what make them and the crown laugh.... (okay, maybe because I'm not an Aussie I couldn't understand the joke..... fair enough) Also, the biggest dissapoinment was when they introduce the power lap board, which had so many pointless cars going on there (a HUMMER S-T-R-E-T-C-H!!!?) that was not even tested or reviewed, just ran a lap around the track and got their times stick onto the wall.
The biggest failure of the show was when they introduce the "What Were They Thinking?" wall (which is something similar to the Cool Wall I guess) and I just gave myself a big facepalm. I mean, it was such a stupid idea that it just isn't funny. But just like the Cool Wall, it does has a purpose..... (but I had to disagree with them putting the Mitsubish Legnum there.

) As for the host, I think they are considered a good team even though the 1st episode was a bad start for them. Charlie Cox does have good personality in him and could host the show no problem, but he needs to find his own line instead of acting all "Clarkson" like and stuff. Steve Pizzati did have some potential as well and unlike "Hammond" he could drive properly.

Warren Brown was really funny at some parts of the show and really helps the show from becoming too boring to say the least. Although he is not entirely based of May, his "suicidal" segments of the show was just.......
awesome.
All in all, I think the 1st episode of TGAU isn't that bad but like many has said it could improve on later episodes. Hopefully it does become a success. 👍 Now just need to wait for TGUS and see how awful or good does the pairing of Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust, and Eric Stromer is gonna be like.....
